I love to plan mini vacations with my family when time permits, just so we can get away. One of our favorite spots away from home is Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. We love the beach and it’s convenient enough for us to drive to within a few hours from North Carolina where we live. The last time we visited Myrtle Beach, South Carolina we had the chance to tour and stay at Westgate Myrtle Beach Oceanfront Resort and it was one of the best vacation experiences we’ve ever had. I love timeshare and resort style villas because it’s cost effective for my family of six. I love having a luxury set up that has a home feel with a full kitchen, washer & dryer, multiple bathrooms, multiple bedrooms, and it comes with a lovely oceanfront view. I am able to go grocery shopping and stock our kitchen so that I can prepare “home cooked” meals throughout our stay. We do have a tendency to eat out while on vacation but, it’s usually lunch because we are out and about during the day. We always have breakfast and dinner inside so we’re not dining out for every meal which can really add up. My goal for a family vacation is to thoroughly enjoy ourselves without breaking the bank!
Westgate Myrtle Beach Ocean Front Resort is located on the coastline in the heart of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. I couldn’t ask for a better location. We were conveniently close to everything. There were restaurants galore, amusement parks, entertainment venues like the Ripley’s Aquarium, Medieval Times, Pirates Voyage, Malls, Boutiques and there is something for everyone! I have three teenagers ages 18, 16, 14 and then there is the 6 year old! They had fun before we even left the resort with the Oceanfront Pool, Lazy River, Kids Water Play Area, Game Room, and Fitness Center. Every morning we woke up extra early to watch the sun rise and take a stroll on the beach. It was absolutely amazing! One of the things that we do every time we visit Myrtle Beach, South Carolina is go to the boardwalk to shop, walk the strip, and eat! It’s a must! The kids were spooked by taking a challenge to go into the nightmare haunted house on Ocean Blvd. I was convinced that they had a new found appreciation for one another after that experience. My husband and I enjoyed a meal and frozen daiquiris at Wet Willie’s, that was one of the things I wanted to do. Bonus: We were conveniently located near a Walmart Supercenter so I could stock our villa with all our needs for the duration of our stay.
One of my favorite features in the villa is the jetted bathtub! I knew that I wanted to send everyone out to do whatever their heart desired so I could relax and take a bubble bath in some peace & quiet AND… I did just that! I loved my master suite with private balcony, I guess my next favorite thing would be the fully equipped kitchen. I liked the granite counter tops and top of the line appliances that I used during our stay. The bathroom was awesome with a double sink vanity area and separate room for the toilet and double shower. The living area was cozy with a big screen television so we could all lounge and enjoy a movie. The staff was very accommodating and was sure to take care of our every need. I couldn’t ask for better “customer service”. I can’t wait to go back and visit Westage Myrtle Beach Ocean Front Resort. In the Fall I’m planning a vacation to visit and tour Westage Vacation Villas in Orlando, Florida. I can’t wait to share that experience as well as my Disney World Adventure.
