It’s Episode Two and there are so many mixed feelings about The Gossip Game. I still find it interesting around all the “ratchet” behavior because at the end of the day these women are still working within their perspective professions whether there are disagreements among them or not. I strongly feel that there is a time and place for everything. Kim Osorio trying to defuse the situation between DaNYCGossipGirl and Ms.Drama at Angela Yee’s Birthday Celebration was definitely a bad decision. They had already bumped heads on more than one occasion with no resolve so, I really didn’t expect this encounter to be any different. Wishful thinking on Kim’s part though… Vivian should have just kept it moving!
I personally think people can overcome certain awkward situations if they’d just learn the art or ignoring and brushing things off! I know we are all human and have different tolerance levels however, if you’ve had an argument or disagreement with someone and you find yourself having to be at the same social event with them don’t give them the upper hand or make them relevant for that matter. The only time I can see a situation going down hill is if someone is downright disrespectful or if personal space has been invaded. Other than that let people talk and let the haters hate! Don’t ever stoop down to someone else’s LOW level, especially if it’s taking you out of your comfort zone. Not to mention these women have brands to protect! That drama was a complete FAIL! I think we all have an idea of who’s going to be low key, feisty or downright ratchet this season.
I hope to see more of the women showcased in their professional roles giving us a glimpse of what it’s like day to day for them, and how that plays a part in what type of relationship they may or may not maintain with one another. There may be a bit of competitiveness between DaNYCGossipGirl and Ms.Drama and we still don’t know exactly why they are at each others throats! There’s something brewing between Kay Foxx and Angela Yee, but their radio stations are each others rivals. I like the way JasFly handled talking to Ms. Drama stating that she could have handled herself better and that she’s a representation of her everywhere. I know the show won’t be completely drama free, some people love drama and tune in just for it which keeps the network ratings high, I totally get it! I’ll be tuned in next week to see how everything unfolds.
So how do you handle an argument or disagreement in your life? Do you feed into it, let it go, or do you hold grudges? How would you act being in the same space as your “rival”?
