Do you think you are disciplined enough to jump on board with the 52 week money challenge? I know we could all use a little extra cash! This has been the talk on the web for the last few days. I’ve seen it on numerous sites and all over Facebook. The 52 week money challenge may look easy to some but, it does take discipline. In order for this to work you can’t touch it and you may also be able to eliminate some expenses to make it possible. I’d be willing to cut out some fast food and sweet snacking to make this happen. If I added up how much money I spend on Starbucks, Fast Food and cupcakes throughout the year… I’d probably drop my jaw! Every week you just follow the chart and deposit the amount shown for 52 weeks and at the end of the year you should have almost $1400.00 saved up.
Once you’ve made it to the end of the 52 week money challenge you can continue to save it or spend it on something you really need or maybe something you want. We all know the difference between needs and wants right? I think I’d take a trip or buy a new gadget! I would love to purchase a CD through my credit union and have it sit and mature for a few months. My mind is all over the place! Wouldn’t it be nice to have that additional money sitting there and you trying to figure out what you want to do with it vs. being in the opposite position. I know we’ve all been in situations where we needed a certain amount of money but, didn’t necessarily have it. We don’t like to dip into our 401k, IRA or take out loans; I know I’ve been there! I can be a compulsive spender at times but, I am willing to take on this challenge.
Take a look at the chart and start saving! Are you in? Disclaimer: ** I did not create this chart and am not the original creator of the 52 Week Money Challenge**
