Disclosure: I’m a Motorola Moto Maker (Brand Ambassador) All opinions are mine alone. I purchased the Moto 360 to pair it with my Moto X and review all it’s features.
The first thing I must say about my Motorola Moto 360 is that I designed it on the Motorola Website using Moto Maker and it’s exactly how I wanted it. I love when I am able to customize anything to my personal liking. You have the option of choosing your band, case and watch face. My case is stainless steel, Haroween Stone Leather Band, scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass and I chose the blossom watch face. It’s so ME! I also wanted my smart watch to pair well with my clothing and accessories so I went as neutral as possible. Moto 360 is able to do more than just give you app notifications, it is now working with a group of select apps and growing daily. The Moto 360 has a classic watch design, is so comfortable and powered by Android Wear. The Motorola 360 starts at $249.99. Here are just a few things that I love about my Moto 360. Oh, AND… It’s BlueToothed to my Motorola Moto X Mobile Phone.
1.) I enjoy the convenience of not having to carry my phone or look at it when I receive notifications or phone calls for that matter. I have the option to answer the call or dismiss it right on my wrist. This comes in super handy when I’m in meetings. My phone can stay in my bag!
2.) I travel frequently and I like getting alerts that there is traffic up ahead or there has been an accident and to expect delays. I even get alerts for road construction going on. It’s pretty awesome. The GPS navigation on your wrist is seriously convenient. “Hands Free”
3.) I’ve become obsessed with how many steps I’m taking on a daily basis with my steps tracker. I also have a heart rate monitor. Moto Body is a built in activity tracker that I’m using more and more everyday. It has some pretty cool features that will allow me to meet my fitness goals.
4.) I enjoy responding to text messages via voice on my Moto 360. It has voice gestures so you can do almost anything from your wrist. Make calls, answer text messages, surf the web, check the weather or even set a reminder.
Tip: The speakers are great so make sure you don’t have too much background noise, because it will pick it up. I was texting and it picked up my television during a Netflix binge of Army Wives and the response I got was… Huh? What? Lol! It picked up everything that was said in the scene in addition to my message.
5.) My contacts are all on my wrist! I can go to contacts and scroll to who I need to connect with and either choose to make a call or text that person. In every feature you have the option to open it on your phone as well to continue your task.
6.) You can wake your watch up to receive voice gestures by saying “Okay Google” and it is ready to handle any voice related task that you may have. One of my favorite tasks to do is set my alarms for any thing. I’m notorious for taking naps and using an alarm to wake me up.
7.) I can access my agenda right on my wrist. If I don’t schedule it, I don’t make it! I’m being so transparent right now. My calendar keeps my schedule organized and without it I’d be lost. I always set at least a 30 minute reminder to let me know where I’m supposed to be. Longer if distance is a factor.
8.) Check and respond to emails is a big one! It’s cool to be able to read an email and respond right on your wrist. It also cuts down on typing on your phone when you are doing all these tasks on your Moto 360 by voice.
9.) The “Find My Phone” feature is genius. How many times have you misplaced your phone at home or in the office? You can access the “Find My Phone” feature on Moto 360 and it will call your phone. You will then hear it ringing from wherever it is and you’ll find it!
10.) The battery life is GREAT! I haven’t had it die on me yet. I’ve used it all the way down to at least 10% battery life before I placed it on my Moto 360 charging dock. It only takes about two hours to fully charge but, I let it stay on the charging dock overnight so I’m ready for the next day.
