I was chosen to host a Twister Mania – For XBOX Kinect house party courtesy of Majesco and House Party. The party planning process was really easy using the House Party website to invite guests, keep track of RSVP’s and also using their party planning guide and planner for tips and ideas.
The first step was promoting the event and inviting guests to attend my Twister Mania House Party, I was able to import email addresses from my Google and Yahoo accounts so that invitations could be sent. I was alerted via email every time I received an RSVP. My ideal target goal for guests was having 10-15 people attend. I sent many invitations out knowing not everyone would be able to attend with the hopes of hitting my attendance goal. I decided to make it an adult affair and will dedicate another weekend to have a Twister Mania event with children. My three year old was in attendance and he loved watching us and participating.
I started to plan four weeks out where I wanted to host the event (my living room), what I wanted on the menu that evening, along with drinks and snacks. How I’d decorate my dining room area and living room space for the party. I was also planning what to wear, I wanted maximum flexibility so I could play well. It’s funny how many emails and tweets I got regarding what to wear. A week before the event I received my party pack in the mail, consisting of the Twisterâ„¢ Mania game for Xbox 360 Kinect, Coupons for guests to save on Twister™ Mania, Silly Straws, Twister Mania Branded Coasters and Twisting balloons. I tweeted the event and shared my party information on Facebook. I wrote my grocery list of items to get for the party. I also made it a pot luck so that my friends would bring a dish as well. This worked out great!
