Lenovo Phab 2 Pro First Impressions

The Lenovo Phab 2 Pro is an awesome phone. Once you get past the size and start to use it, you will see that itâ€™s a great device. I went from a Moto X Pure Edition to the Phab 2 Pro so itâ€™s definitely an adjustment. The one thing I like about the Phab 2 Pro outside of the fact that is installed with Tango for Augmented Reality is that I have 64GB of ROM and 4GB of RAM. I use my mobile devices for EVERYTHING! Having enough memory is huge for me. Iâ€™m a full time Life & Style Blogger and online boutique owner.

Business on the go is a daily thing for me! Itâ€™s great to be able to run a business from your phone while you are out and about. I can send invoices, receive payments, check email, schedule appointments using my calendar, engage on social media and the list goes on! In addition to all the fun things the Lenovo Phab 2 Pro can do, it does all the practical things I need it to do in order to run a successful business day to day. I may stop throughout the day to play with the camera and create a virtual world or play a game.

The camera isnâ€™t living up to my expectations but, itâ€™s truly made to support the Tango software. There are three cameras built into the Phab 2 Pro. It has a 16 MP rear camera, 8 MP front camera and .3 seconds for fast focusing. One camera is made to measure distance and depth while the other is for motion tracking alongside Tangoâ€™s motion tracking system. What Iâ€™ve noticed is if I am outdoors with great lighting, Iâ€™ll get a decent photo. If I am indoors with low lighting I will get a lower quality photo.

The Moto X Pure Edition truly spoiled me with the 21 MP Camera! It takes great quality photographs and video. I still need to explore taking video on the Phab 2 Pro. 4050 mAh Battery life is awesome! I donâ€™t need to charge all day long! Iâ€™m also NOT running tango 24/7. You get 2.4 x turbo charging capabilities. I love being able to turbo charge when needed! Iâ€™m on my phone all the time; I cannot afford for my phone to go dead on me. Itâ€™s my lifeline to my email, schedule of events, reminders and social media!

The speakers are amazing, I have no complaints! You get Dolby 5.1 Audio Capture, 3 mics with 360 voice noise-cancelling. The Phab 2 Pro is 8.9mm aluminum unibody with 2.5 D curved glass. I like the finger print scanner on the rear side. I sometimes miss the finger print scanner and press the camera but, thatâ€™s a minor issue for me. The 6.4 inch (1440 x 2560) QHD display is crisp and adapts to lighting conditions. It comes in two colors Gunmetal Grey and Champagne Gold with a QualcommÂ® Snapdragonâ„¢ 652 processor, optimized for Tango.

Overall, the Phab 2 pro is a great device. Iâ€™m able to complete my daily tasks and stay organized on the go. You’re going to get tired of hearing me say this but… It’s all about convenience for me! In addition to 64 GB of memory you also get a dual SIM and micro SD card slot for additional storage space. I have a 64 GB Micro SD Card in my Lenovo Phab 2 Pro. You can use a Micro SD Card up to 128 GB. Iâ€™m excited for additional Apps in the future and the continued development of Project Tango and the Lenovo software.

Tech Talk: What Tech is in Your Backpack?

Whether I am traveling or in my day to day routine my backpack is always full of my tech essentials to get me through my business day. Hands down I have my Lenovo YOGA 3 Pro Laptop and mouse with me at all times so I can work on the go. I also have my notebook with all my important notes and tasks to keep track of what Iâ€™m doing. Iâ€™m usually working from a list that Iâ€™ve created based on importance. I have several USB drives, a one terabyte hard drive for storage and transferring data from one device to another. I canâ€™t forget my laptop adapter.

Working on the go seems to be the norm for me and having everything I need is essential. My Moto Surround, Moto X Pure Edition and Moto 360 keep me organized in between being able to take phone calls hands free, listen to music while I work, my calendar, reminder notifications on my phone and being able to have it all sync to my wrist. One of my favorite features is the fact that my devices sync and work together seamlessly. It’s nice to leave my phone in my pocketbook and get all my notifications on my Moto 360.

Business Cards are necessary when out and about so I keep an entire box of them in my backpack. I always try to attend networking events when my schedule allows. I also have them conveniently with me when traveling to conferences as well. I never want to miss an opportunity to network and connect with someone new. My selfie stick is always in tow as well but, I rarely break it out to use it. It’s purple, blingy and cute. I really need to use it when I’m with a group of people and at events. Note to self: Use selfie stick more often. I also tote around my mini tripod for recording video.

Taking pictures is definitely one of my passions. My Nikon Coolpix B500 camera is usually in my backpack when traveling and at special events. I take the majority of my photos using my Moto X Pure Edition. I can’t say enough about my 21 megapixel camera that captures crisp, clear and colorful photos. I’m amazed all the time and I’m going to start a Pinterest Board just for my #MotoPhotos. I got the Nikon for when I need to zoom in at a distance and it’s compact and syncs right to my phone. I actually prefer it over my DSLR.

Lastly I need to organize all my chords for these different devices in my backpack. I use my Grid-It Accessory organizer to separate all my chords and keep them in good condition. I have at least ten chargers and adapters that I tote around when on the go. I can’t forget that I also have antibacterial hand wipes, Kleenex and hand sanitizer. So just to review I have a… Lenovo YOGA 3 Pro, Moto Surround, Moto X Pure Edition, Moto 360, Western Digital My Passport Ultra one terabyte hard drive, Nikon Coolpix B500, selfie stick, mini tripod, several USB drives and external battery packs.

Chick-Fil-A Mobile Ordering App

I was so excited when I went to my local Chick-fil-A for breakfast and saw them promoting the Chick-fil-A Mobile Ordering App. I definitely frequent Chick-fil-A a few times a week for breakfast and lunch. Iâ€™m more pressed for time in the mornings when Iâ€™m in route taking my son to school, trying to beat traffic, grab breakfast and make it on the carpool before 8:50 a.m. School starts promptly at 9:00 a.m. There are mornings when the Drive-Thru line is wrapped around the building and itâ€™s quicker to park and go inside to do carry out. So, yesterday while getting breakfast I had to ask a Team Member (on the Drive-Thru Line) how mobile ordering worked before I decided to download the app and take it for a test drive! So, it was explained that you download the app. The closest Chick fil-A location will pop up. If you donâ€™t have an account, youâ€™ll need to create one. You also have the option to sign in using Facebook. Once your account is created, you can add a profile pic and it will be personalized based on the information you put in. You can add funds by transferring from a gift card or using a credit card. Minimum balance that can be added is $10.00 and the maximum balance is $200.00. *Mobile Pay funds may not be used to purchase gift cards.

Once you add funds, you are able to place your order through the app. You can also add special instructions and choose how you would like to pick up your order. Some locations have curb side service in addition to carry out. Once you have placed your order, you can submit your order and pay directly from the app. You can check-in once youâ€™ve arrived at the restaurant so they can begin preparing your order. When you get there, go to the pick-up line and your order will be handed to you. Now, I had to test this theory because you know that with my crazy schedule, four kids and whatever else come my way CONVENIENCE is always a priority to me. This all sounded too good to be true. So, I downloaded the app and followed all the prompts to get it all set up. I added $10.00 to my balance. I ordered a Regular Frosted Lemonade and 8 Chick-fil-A Nuggets. My order totaled $6.11. I was about ten minutes away from the location when I placed my order. Once I got there I proceeded to check-in and then went straight to the pick-up line. I was greeted by a Team Member and they asked if I needed to order and I told them I had ordered using the mobile app. They seemed pleased and thanked me for using it! Another customer was in front of me and saidâ€¦ â€œYou ordered using the Chick-fil-A Mobile Ordering App?â€ and I quickly explained. She seemed surprised.

Not even a MINUTE later my food was handed to me! I almost couldnâ€™t contain my excitement. Now, let me tell you about the Chick-fil-A location closest to my home. Itâ€™s BUSY! It doesnâ€™t matter what time of day you go to visit, you usually see a line. Itâ€™s in the heart of RTP (Research Triangle Park) and in the middle of several hotels as well as corporate businesses in the park. So, whether itâ€™s breakfast, lunch or dinnerâ€¦ Itâ€™s packed! However, Iâ€™ve never had a bad experience and they have TOP NOTCH customer service. They seem to have things under control and itâ€™s always moving smoothly. Iâ€™m always greeted and itâ€™s genuine NOT a forced this is my job and Iâ€™m just saying this because I have to. I remember when they were hiring recently I was grabbing breakfast on the Drive-Thru and the person at the window asked if I had any children. I said yes, four. She proceeded to ask their ages and if they had jobs. I answered her and said no and she handed me an invitation to their recruitment open house. It was the funniest thing and I told her I had two teenagers she could have. Lol! I love a team with great personalities. This is truly a game changer for me! I can shave off a few minutes of my morning commute and getting mini me off to school by using the mobile ordering app. I LOVE skipping lines!
