The new Shaun White Thrash Series Skateboards by Shaun White Supply Co. are available at Walmart retail locations and online. Select Walmart store locations have special Shaun White displays to showcase the new products. The Shaun White Thrash Series skateboards are located in toys, I got a little confused because I thought I would find them in the sporting goods section but, didn’t. The particular Walmart location that I went to did have a Shaun White Thrash Series skateboard display up at one point but, it was removed by the time I visited the store, however I was able to find the skateboards with no problem at all and they were clearly branded, there was no missing them amongst the other skateboard selections. I chose the Easy Rider because with a name like “Easy Rider†I felt a first timer like me would be able to handle it, secondly I really liked the artwork on the back and I just knew my teenage son would love it too! There were a few other selections of skateboards for kids however, the quality and graphics of the Shaun White Thrash Series skateboard stood out to me. Shaun White Thrash Series Easy Rider Stats: 7ply maple and stiff glue for top performance 54mm/97A urethane wheels for smooth riding, 5.375″ heavy-duty, lightweight aluminum trucks, ABEC 7 speed bearings and Deck: 31.5″ x 8″. It was a done deal, time to learn how to ride!
My skateboarding adventure with my teen son, my how the tables have turned, the almost fifteen year old son BJ that I have taken care of and been there for everything now had the task of teaching mom how to ride a skateboard. BJ loves skateboards and has mastered riding one, so he is able to balance, and navigate his way around, and stop on it like a pro. Me on the other hand not so much! I had to learn how to push of, get both feet on the board, balance, navigate where I was going and learn how to stop. I felt like a baby learning to walk for the first time. I wanted to hold on to my son the entire time for security and the fear of falling and busting my hump! The kicker is that we were learning on a slight hill so I was always rolling. Ha! I think I gave my kiddos a good giggle and inspired my daughters to even jump on and give it a whirl. It was a great experience spending time outdoors with the family and learning a fun activity. Once I get this balancing act down, I’m inspired to learn a trick or two! There will be a big advertising campaign in October 28th newspapers promoting the Shaun White Thrash Series Skateboard.
