.) Vegalicious TweetUp was the event to kick off Blogalicious 2012 and it was everything and then some. We were on the patio at T-Bones Chop House & Lounge at Red Rock Resort. Need I say more… I FINALLY got to meet @MommyReporter @RubyDW and linked up with some of my previous twitter peeps like @AliahPR @SwarthyDaisy and I met a huge group of bloggers I hadn’t had the pleasure of meeting before like @goddess_I @MarieDenee and @ClassySharelle
.) “Shop Your Way Afternoon Tea†sponsored by Sears & Kmart was a BLAST along with “Viva Las Ladies Night†which was sponsored by McDonalds! These two events pretty much got us prepped for the night’s event the “Trip ToThe Strip†When I tell you that we had been partying since 3:30 on… There is no exaggeration! We visited the Las Vegas Strip and had a BALL VIP style at Club Lavo and Tao! That was definitely a night to remember!
.) My Blogalicious Poolside Chats: Find Your Niche! Was great! I got to connect with Brandi Powers and Monica Barnett and we talked about STYLE! That conversation opened my eyes to what should be in my closet, what shouldn’t be in my closet, how we tend to shop and the list goes on! I left feeling like I need to go through my closet and purge, go shopping and always wear my hair styled. I don’t get dolled up to check the mailbox, go grocery shopping or do any errand for that matter but, you never know who you’ll bump into so… I guess I should look my best at all times.
.) Kellogg’s Love Your Cereal & Power Talk: From FREE to FEE: The 21 Day Challenge gave me all sorts of inspiration and motivation to pursue my dreams and not let anyone get in my way. We had the opportunity to listen to Mario Armstrong tell the story of his journey leaving corporate America and starting his business with his wife. I enjoyed hearing the good, the bad and the ugly. Starting a business isn’t easy, and we need to work hard to maintain it and have a PLAN! He also gave us tons of ways to generate revenue and gave a challenge I intend to conquer.
.) I Volunteered on the Blogalicious Social Squad this year and I loved being able to assist with certain conference duties while getting a chance to meet everyone. I had such a great experience working with Jazzy, Jana and Joe! Didn’t realize all the “J’s†we had in the room! Jana’s organizational skills are off the hook! Jazzy kept us in the loop with everything every step of the way and Joe “The Bouncer†was on his Security Duties the entire time! I’d do it all over again!
.) The Red Rock SPA!!! I fell in love with the Red Rock Spa… Sauna, Jacuzzi and Lap Pool was where I’d be hiding when there wasn’t a social event or conference session going on. Towards the end I got burned out and went straight to the Spa and would lay outside by the pool staring up at the beautiful palm trees and the sky! I just wanted to do NOTHING! I didn’t sleep well in Las Vegas because my body was still on EST. I may have gotten 2-3 hours of sleep daily while there.
.) Gain Fresh Party with Doug E. Fresh at Cherry Nightclub was AWESOME! The energy in the room the night was just… I can’t even describe it! We all had a ball and we danced the night away and sang along with Doug E. Fresh as he entertained us. He then went to the DJ booth and started spinning on the 1’s and 2’s playing everything from Ole School Hip Hop to “The Wobble†, Go Go, Current Hip Hop & R&B and we were up in there stepping and I don’t step! Ha! Blogalicious 2012 gets a A+++++ and I can’t wait to see where Blogalicious 2013 will be. Oh… I’ll be there!
