I had the opportunity to attend the Disney Pixar “Cars 3†Road to the Races tour event. It was at the Mack Trucks Brand & Product Line Headquarters in Greensboro, NC. The tour is on the move making its way across the United States visiting 27 cities to celebrate the upcoming release of the NEW Cars 3 movie. The movie will open in theaters on June 16th in 3D. For the next 48 hours the Road to Races tour will be in Charlotte, NC at the Motor Speedway from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. It’s FREE and open to the public!
There are a limited amount of ‘Race Lane’ Tickets at each stop allowing guests to skip the lines for priority entry. This event wouldn’t be possible without the presenting sponsors Alamo, Coppertone, Crest, Oral-B, Dole and Mattel. Check and see when the “Cars 3†Road to the Races tour may be coming to your city. Once you enter the event you can immediately see the stars of Disney Pixar’s “Cars 3†– Lightening McQueen, Cruz Ramirez and Jackson Storm. There are lots of photo opportunities.
Several stations are set up and sponsored by each brand with an activity for the kids to do. My favorite outside of being able to preview a snippet of the “Cars 3†Movie was the Dole station. They had delicious smoothies and I actually couldn’t drink one because it had almond milk in the recipe and I have a nut allergy. However, my son LOVED it and we received recipe cards so I can make the smoothies at home and substitute the almond milk with something else. Kudos to them for asking me if we had any food allergies in advance!
I’m a HUGE Dole consumer and we make smoothies at home regularly. The weather was great, clear skies, and a bit on the humid side. The smoothies were the perfect refreshment to keep everyone cool. Keep in mind that this event happens outdoors, so dress appropriately and stay hydrated. There was a Crest/ Oral-B station where the kids could take pictures and then spin the wheel for a prize. The pit stop crew station presented by Coppertone was pretty fun as well.
There was a crafting station where the kids could make their own car; that was pretty neat! Mattel had a racing car station that seemed to be packed the entire time. It was truly a fun event and I know my son enjoyed every moment. Overall, the “Cars 3†event was AWESOME! I can’t wait until “Cars 3†is released on June 16th in 3D because you know… that’s the best way to watch movies! I won’t give away any spoilers but, I will share the “Cars 3†trailer so that you can see it if you haven’t already! #Cars3Tour
