It’s almost been a year to date since I worked on Sponsor (Parody) – UNofficial Bloggers Anthem. I’ve been working on my latest project which will include me writing another song and working with a great team to record and produce another original song and shoot an amazing video with much TRUTH and HUMOR! I can’t get away from the humor! Want to try and guess what I’ll be singing my heart out about this time? My creative juices are flowing and I can’t wait to get it complete and introduce it to the blogosphere and Twitterverse! I think I’m just going to start a entertainment label and be the creative director and come up with cool concepts for people, products and brands! It will be called “Mommy Blogger Entertainment” #Trademarked Ha! I can dream, can’t I…
Until I release my new baby, take a look at these photos of me in action!
I was so excited when I saw the BOOST by ifrogz near field audio amplifying speaker. First of all it’s simple to use and doesn’t require you to plug your phone into ANYTHING! BOOST is supported by most iOS and Android devices, and puts out 2w x 2RMS. In order to stay powered up, you have the option of using 3 AA batteries to be completely wireless or you can use the auxiliary line-in or USB power chord. All you do is select your song or playlist, make sure it’s playing through your external speaker, sit your device on top of the BOOST near-field audio amplifying speaker and you’ll be jamming immediately! I can totally see myself using this while traveling, at the pool, in the shower just to name a few places. You can find BOOST at AT&T, Best Buy, Office Depot, Staples, Walmart & Target. I actually saw it at a kiosk in my local mall. It retails for $39.99 at the moment. You can visit the ifrogz website for more information. Take a look at BOOST up close!

The Anticipation of the much awaited album from The Real Laww is set to hit the streets this summer. I had a moment to sit down and speak to The Real Laww about what to expect and exactly how he got started in the music business. I asked when the Real Laww was born, and I received a literal answer in a sarcastic way. “Well my mom and pops came together (no sexual undertones intended) in the 80’s and literally nine months later created J. Lawrence a.k.a The Real Lawwâ€. Everything blossomed in 2003 when he worked with Thunda Pound (Centerpoint out of Raleigh NC). Successfully working on and recording his first piece of original music, The Real Laww went on to work on mix tape solo projects. In the midst of everything The Real Laww joined the marines in 2007, was deployed to Iraq from 2009-2010 and then Afghanistan from 2010 to 2011 and successfully returned from deployment to pick up where he left off, putting out yet another mix tape that received great recognition and radio play. The Real Laww is now finishing up on his first solo album gearing up to be released in August 2012.
If you want to know what style Hip Hop you can expect from The Real Laww, it’s explained as a jazz, pop, hip rock, hip hop fusion! I was recently able to catch a show with Toon (his partner in crime) and The Real Laww at Casbah in Durham, NC and thoroughly enjoyed the performance. They get lots of local love! Toon and The Real Laww are not a Hip Hop Duo however as separate artists their music flows together and just works perfectly when performing and them as an overall team. A HUGE announcement was recently released on April 18th with Toon and The Real Laww being a part of the Hopscotch Music Festival Lineup with The Roots headlining this coming September. This year’s Hopscotch Music Festival is going to be epic! The Real Laww is an Independent Artist and chooses to remain so, for the time being. There is something to be said about being able to have 100% creative control over your work with which you are so passionate about.
I had the pleasure of working with The Real Laww on my music video project and it was a great experience. In addition to being an Artist He’s also a producer working with other Artists to create good music. I don’t consider myself a music artist by any means but, The Real Laww was very patient with me, and held my hand throughout the entire process. I took the creative criticism and advice and ended up creating a great song and music video that is being received well in the blogosphere and getting hits on YouTube with positive comments. To keep up with all of The Real Laww’s shows and music releases visit him on reverbnation and his website for updates and information.
