How About a LoveNudge?

I’m a huge fan of The 5 Love Languages, so when I had an opportunity to review LoveNudge the official app of The 5 Love Languages® I couldn’t resist. You can download it on the App Store or get it on Google Play. LoveNudge.app can be used individually or with your significant other. It will guide you in taking actionable steps when it comes to using the 5 love languages with your partner. The app is user friendly and will track your progress weekly, monthly and yearly.

Once you’ve downloaded the LoveNudge App and created your profile then you can get familiar with the languages and even take the quiz to discover your preferred love language. I knew from reading the book that my preferred love language is “Quality Time”. My second runner up is “Acts of Service”. The app breaks it into percentages. My breakdown is 40% Quality Time, 27% Acts of Service, 13% Words of Affirmation, 13% Physical Touch and 7% Receiving Gifts.

LoveNudge allows you to create goals within a specific love language that will make your partner feel loved and appreciated. It will give you suggestions on what to do with your partner or things to do for your partner based on their love language. It helps you think outside the box and realize that we all receive love differently. We often stay in our own love language when trying to show our spouses love and get frustrated when it seems they don’t appreciate our efforts.

It’s because they receive love differently.

I like the ease of having the LoveNudge App at your fingertips to suggest activities, set goals and see your progress while you track how full your love tank is. It’s a great tool to use along with a variety of reading resources to support your relationship. It’s fun to use with your partner especially if you have different love languages. CUJO Smart Firewall Keeps You Safe Online

I’ll be the first one to tell you that I don’t keep up with the antivirus on all my devices. They expire at different times and I’m not the quickest to update them or reinstall any software if necessary. I was very excited to have the opportunity to review the CUJO Smart Firewall. It’s a business level firewall that guards all your devices in your connected home. It detects and blocks malicious sites and hacks. You plug it into your router and control it with your iPhone or Android installed CUJO App.

It’s very user friendly and the set up process is simple. You follow the instructions, plug-in your CUJO Smart Firewall and connect it to your router. You should download the app on your phone or tablet and it will prompt you to log in if you already have an account or register. Once you are all logged in, the app will walk you through the initial set up to connect your CUJO to your router. There are two ways you can do this through the app or manually with the assistance of a CUJO Rep via video chat, phone or email.

Due to the type of router I have, I wasn’t able to connect automatically through the app so I was prompted to get the assistance of a CUJO Support Rep which took 10-15 minutes max! I called on the phone and we used a screen share app so he could take control instead of walking me through the process. I was grateful because some of the stuff went over my head when it came to connecting to my router, disabling features and changing the router ip address.

Once my CUJO was successfully connected I started to see my devices appear on the app. I initially saw nine but, I have fifteen devices currently being protected by CUJO. Our Smart TV’s, phones, tablets, laptops, Google Home, Philips Hue Lighting, Streaming Devices and Security Camera are all covered. You can monitor all your devices through the app and check on any threats. CUJO is built with 1Gb Ethernet, so I don’t have to worry about it slowing down my network. You also have the option to create individual user profiles for each family member.

There are parental controls which I love for my youngest son. I can manage his internet access by day and time and filter the websites and apps if they are inappropriate for him. There’s also a time limit feature which I totally appreciate because it allows me to control the time he’s allowed to stay on the internet watching YouTube videos and playing games. I usually take his phone away during home school and he gets it back during breaks or when his work is complete. I don’t need to do that anymore!

What’s In the Box: You get the CUJO device, 3ft Ethernet (RJ45) Cable, Quick User Guide and Power Adapter. Overall, I think the CUJO Smart Firewall is an essential piece of equipment to add to your tech home. I am constantly online running a business from home, home schooling my son and connecting on social media. The last thing I want to worry about is a breach in my network. As a child that grew up on Charlie Brown cartoon specials and still watch them to this day. It’s safe to say that I am a fan. Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the gang are some of my favorite characters. It’s a bonus that I get to see the characters up close and personal when I visit Carowinds, one of my favorite theme parks each year. Last year we celebrated 50 years of “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” with several fun activities including a screening of the 1996 animated television special.

The Peanuts StoryGIF is a fun messaging app that allows you to communicate with fun GIF stories of Snoopy & the Peanuts gang. It’s available for download on Apple and Android mobile devices. The Peanuts StoryGIF App is very user friendly. You can choose up to ten GIFs that you’d like to use in your story. There is a variety of over sixty animations to choose from to tailor your message. Once you compose your story there are a few ways you can share it. You have the option to download it to your gallery.

Outside of downloading the story GIF to your gallery there are a variety of ways to share it with your friends. You can share to Facebook, Twitter, Google Hangout, Email, YouTube, Instgram, Bluetooth, Upload to Photos, Save to Google Drive, Direct Twitter Message and add to Evernote. There are unlimited combinations of stories you can make. I’m a fan of the Peanuts characters and think it’s a super cute idea to use Peanuts StoryGIFs to send fun messages. I’m not huge on emoji’s but, I like this messaging option.

My oldest daughter is in her sophomore year of college and lives on campus enjoying the dorm life. We speak frequently but, in between our phone calls we are on text messaging. My daughter was home for the holidays and I recently took her back to school before we were hit with winter weather that had us snowed in for a few days with hazardous icy road conditions. I sent my first Peanuts StoryGIF to my daughter. I chose to use five GIFs, Created my story and shared it via text.

I would even use the Evite Photo Booth App for iPad at corporate networking events and build in an ice breaker activity that attendees can play. The Evite Photo Booth App allows you to save photos on your camera roll allowing you to share them on social media. You can save them to the app gallery and even print them on site if you choose to set up a AirPrint. You can choose to have a dedicated photographer using the iPad on the go or set up a tripod in front of a set background. Oh… I can’t forget the selfies! You can set a countdown before each photo is taken and choose the time between shots.

I had fun reviewing this app with my family; we even brought out some props and costumes to play with. You can’t forget the photo props! Fall In Love with Google Now

I recently decided to start using Google Now and honestly don’t know why I didn’t any sooner. It comes in really handy when you are traveling and have Goals, Reminders or Events scheduled. It’s even more efficient when you have your Smart Watch Blue toothed to your phone and have all your notifications on your wrist. My Moto 360 is paired with my Moto X Pure Edition. It’s very convenient and user friendly to customize just the way you want it. Here are some of my favorite features of Google Now.

Google Now Features

First and foremost I really like being able to see the weather forecast updated to the minute and the entire week. It helps me plan my day as well as the week around the anticipated weather. It’s great when traveling and also when planning a trip. I’ll know how to pack and won’t be surprised by anything.

I use my calendar to schedule EVERYTHING! My schedule will pop up and let me know an event is coming up. I even get an alert as to what time I should leave to make it to my appointment on time based on the location. I love this feature because I’m not the most punctual person but, this keeps me on point.

You get the most updated news stories from a variety of media websites to choose from. I am very accustomed using my voice to get what I need from my watch or phone. I search addresses, directions, business hours, telephone numbers and a variety of random questions I may need answers to.

It’s great for exploring your city and others when traveling. I have looked up things to do, nearby restaurants and also check out the ratings by others who have visited the establishment. I’m big on reviews; I think they come in handy when you are looking at visiting a new business.

I schedule so many things from my credit card payment due date reminder which is recurring on a monthly basis, my shoedazzle opt out date if I want to skip a month so I don’t have a gazillion credits build up and forget to shop! I also have a reminder set to take my medicine at noon daily.

I can use my voice to send text messages or make calls. I can also respond to text messages using my voice and it’s pretty cool to not always need my keypad to type. I also go into my documents and dictate notes that I will need at a later date. I’m able to use my voice for almost anything!

I traveled recently and was alerted immediately when my flight was delayed before the airport or airline made the official announcement. I won’t deny that I was shocked. It’s amazingly accurate. I am able to access boarding passes, track packages and event tickets all in one place. This is very convenient to have.

Now Cards give you the information you need in an organized way without you having to search for it. You can even use Now Cards for information from up to 100 of your favorite apps. You can customize it in your settings giving you full control of the information you are receiving. It only shows up when necessary.

Overall, I love Google Now because it gives me important information in just one swipe of my screen. I even schedule social media posts and reporting link reminders so I don’t forget! It’s the closest thing to a personal assistant. Google Now Rocks!
