I recently had the opportunity to get acquainted with the 2017 Lexus NX 300h and fell in love with all the conveniences packed into this luxury hybrid SUV. Upon first glance you see a Silver Lining stylish work of art and are intrigued to explore every nook and cranny. I took advantage of the SmartAccess Entry System and the powered back door was very handy. I had a 40lb. box delivered and had to pick it up from the business office since I wasn’t home. All I had to do was touch the button on the remote to release the trunk. I didn’t have to put down the box; I just slid it in the trunk with ease. It has spacious cargo room. Bonus: Handy First Aid Kit, should you need it for any reason.
The 4.2†Full Color Multi-Information display, Lexus Enform and Lexus App Suite were a few of my favorite features. It’s a techies playground! First I’ll tell you that I got all turned around because I thought the Lexus Enform Display was a touch screen like most of my tech devices, but it’s not. You control everything on that screen by using the remote touch-pad on your console. So, you know I was looking silly touching the screen and wondering why nothing was happening. Once I figured it out, it was smooth sailing! My first adventure was taking a quick road trip with the kids. The seating is very comfortable for quick trips around town and extended driving periods.
We were off to Greensboro, NC to attend the Disney Cars 3 Tour Event at the Mack Truck Brand and Product Line Headquarters. We also carved in some time to visit Falls Lake. I enjoyed the convenience with push button start/stop. The ride was so smooth and we got great highway gas mileage with the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine. The Lexus Premium Sound System is top notch with 10 speakers allowing you to Bluetooth music from your own device. My children took full control of the music by syncing their mobile phones to the audio system. You also have access to Sirius XM Satellite Radio, HD Radio with iTunes, aux chord, USB, iPod and MP3 control.
There were several times that I was appreciative of the notifications when getting ready to exit the vehicle that my moon roof was not closed completely or a window was not rolled all the way up. I received a notification when the fuel got low and the navigation system started looking for the nearest gas station so we could stop. The gas door won’t open if the car isn’t unlocked and I think that’s a great feature. The tire pressure is always displayed via the location specific Tire Pressure Monitoring System. I had no need to use the Safety Connect “SOS†button glad it’s there if necessary.
Another funny moment was when I expected to have access to a digital clock via the information display and totally overlooked the analog clock on the dashboard. It’s a gorgeous addition and works seamlessly, I am just so accustomed to having a digital clock right in front of my face that it didn’t register immediately. I felt like a total dork after that! I love that my seat would automatically adjust to my personal specifications every time I entered the vehicle. It’s a memory powered 10-way drivers seat that includes lumbar support. That’s super convenient and very comfortable.
There are so many great features that give you convenience like the rear facing camera to assist with parallel parking or backing out of a space. The blind spot monitor was great and would alert me when vehicles were approaching the vehicle on either side. Dynamic Radar Cruise Control can help you maintain your speed and distance from other vehicles. In addition to the USB and mobile charging adapter access you also have a wireless charger available for use. I could go on and on about all the luxuries of this vehicle but, I highly recommend having your own personal Lexus NX 300h experience.
Overall the Lexus NX 300h is the perfect compact SUV packed with so much style and on the go technology. If you’re a Mom on the go like me, you’ll definitely appreciate all the technology and conveniences of this vehicle. The exterior and interior are flawless with dark interior trim, leather seats and ambient lighting. I loved the overhead lighting, it was motion censored. The head lamps, tail lamps and daytime running lights are premium LED lighting. You get a lot of standard equipment with the option to install even more features. The MSRP is $39,720.00 to start and if you go, top of the line “fully loaded†you’re looking at $54,817.00 with the delivery, processing and handling fee included.
The Lexus NX 300h is definitely perfection! What do you think?
Did you know at certain venues you’ll get complimentary valet parking just for driving a Lexus!
