The funniest thing happened one day while I was in the salon. One of the owners loyal clients brought her in some Girl Scout Cookies that she was NOT willing to share with her clientele. BBM For iPhone and Android is Almost Here!

I remember when I slowly transitioned from having my BlackBerry Curve to the BlackBerry Torch and then weaned myself away and got the iPhone 4S. Now I’m rocking an iPhone 5! The one thing I did miss about having a BlackBerry I’ll admit was BBM (BlackBerry Messenger). I love meeting people and building relationships but, I’ve always been hesitant at times to give out my phone number. I did get a Google Voice number and I rarely use it but, I have it in place to use publicly on promotional materials. I’ve never put my phone number on a business card, I just give it out at my discretion and that works for me. When I had BBM I was able to communicate with all my friends, business colleagues, have group chats, post my status updates, share information and I gave out my PIN like candy!

So I’m really excited that the BBM App it’s going to be available for Android and iPhone users within the next 24-48 hours! I love the fact that we’ll be able to connect on different devices and it will be FREE in Google Play and the App Store. I’m also very excited that you don’t have to give out your phone number or email address, just your unique PIN! Can you tell for such a social person, I’m also pretty private? So what can we look forward to…

BBM Chat – You can have group conversations in real time with your friends (up to 30) whether they’re on a BlackBerry, iPhone or Android. You’ll be able to see when a message has been read and when your friend is responding. You also have the option to share files through BBM like pictures and voice memos immediately. You can broadcast messages to all your contacts… HEY! That just might be the way my Birthday invitation comes this year! Like many social networks we’re on now BBM also lets you post a profile picture, personal message and status updates.

I’m a socialite and love coordinating and attending events! I can see myself growing my BBM list and using it as a means to promote events and happenings in my social butterfly world! I also like that I can be social in yet another place that allows me to have real conversations, share information and engage with people immediately. With BBM you have total control of what is shared and whom you choose to share it with. I’ve deleted a BBM contact before and I won’t mind doing it again if I need to.

BBM will be available as a FREE download to Android Smartphones running Ice Cream Sandwich and Jelly Bean (Android 4.x) beginning at 7AM EDT on September 21 BBM for iPhones running iOS 6 and iOS 7 will become available for each market on the App Store schedule of 12:01 AM local time on September 22. Logo Quiz Game App

I’m not really a game person, I don’t have many game apps downloaded on my iPhone or iPad and I don’t play games on Facebook. Most of the apps I have downloaded serve a purpose in my daily life to make things just a little bit easier, however I fell in love with the logo quiz game app immediately. I can really appreciate the game being a graphic designer. It allows me to look at all the great logo designs that brands have to represent themselves and it drives me creatively when I’m working on a design project.

The object of the logo quiz game is to see how many brands you can recognize in the least amount of time possible. Points will be subtracted if you take too long or misspell a response. If you get stuck you have the option of using a hint that will give you a clue as to what the answer may be. If you still don’t know the answer you have the opportunity to ask your friends on Facebook & Twitter. Bonus: The answers are NOT case sensitive and you DON’T need punctuation marks!

There are nine levels to play; each level you pass can unlock hints and higher levels to play. You also get a list of game stats so that you can recognize the symbols given while playing the game. Logo Quiz makes you think about all the logos you see on a daily basis. Some logos you’ll recognize right away and others you may need a little help. There may be an element missing from a logos design making it harder to recognize, and causing you to question your judgment. Overall Logo Quiz is a great game and it’s addicting!
