I hope you answered YES, because I am! Hopscotch Music Festival will kick off tomorrow in downtown Raleigh, NC. For the next three days 175 bands will play at fourteen venues through out downtown Raleigh and City Plaza. Head over to the Hopscotch Music Festival website for more information and to get your tickets if you haven’t already. I’m really looking forward to seeing The Roots headline at City Plaza on Saturday night. I love their music and this will be my first time seeing them perform live! I can’t wait to enjoy the festival, hopping from venue to venue and will share my photos and this year’s Hopscotch Music Festival experience with you. Stay Tuned…
Not So Wordless Wednesday… Social Butterfly!
It’s been a while since I’ve done a “Not So Wordless Wednesday” but, I had so much fun working Hopscotch Music Festival last weekend and a part of my duties was to engage on Twitter while giving away prizes (SWAG!) to festival attendees during the festivities. They had to pay attention to their tweets and Twitter time line. Dressed up as a butterfly with wings and a matching face mask to signify a “Social Butterfly” I hopped (no pun intended) throughout the city of Downtown Raleigh to different venues while people stopped me in the middle of the street and complimented me on my wings! Dressing up as a Butterfly is definitely a conversation piece! I took pictures with random people, ended up on different blogs and photo galleries that covered the event and overall I had a GREAT time. I guess I should also acknowledge that I work for a GREAT company and love my job. I love this picture courtesy of the New & Observer, Photo Credit goes to Travis Long. Thanks for capturing this Hopscotch moment!
Jen Goes To DJ School
Hopscotch Music Festival dominates Downtown Raleigh, North Carolina every September 8-10. This year there were 150 bands that played various venues throughout Downtown Raleigh and City Plaza turns into a huge arena for three days. I was able to have fun when I wasn’t working the event and attend DJ School which was sponsored by Lenovo. I got to spin on the 1’s and 2’s with Spcl Gst as he explained how to scratch a record while a beat or song was playing in the background. I had a GREAT time and was a semi pro by the time I was done. Take a look!
