Hope Springs is scheduled to be released in theaters the weekend of August 10th. Synopsis: Kay (Meryl Streep) and Arnold (Tommy Lee Jones) are a devoted couple, but decades of marriage have left Kay wanting to spice things up and reconnect with her husband. When she hears of a renowned couple’s specialist (Steve Carell) in the small town of Great Hope Springs, she attempts to persuade her skeptical husband, a steadfast man of routine, to get on a plane for a week of marriage therapy. Just convincing the stubborn Arnold to go on the retreat is hard enough – the real challenge for both of them comes as they shed their bedroom hang-ups and try to re-ignite the spark that caused them to fall for each other in the first place. I look forward to seeing this movie and think it will be quite funny. I’m a Meryl Streep fan and have enjoyed her previous films. I was chosen to host a Hope Springs house party and it was the most fun I’ve had in a long time! It was originally supposed to be a “Girls Night In” until I was persuaded to make it a mixed event. I invited several of my girlfriends over for an evening of fun and some had their male significant others in tow to make the evening a little more interesting. My Hope Springs Party Pack included: (11) Hope Spring Canvas Tote Bags, (12) Hope Springs wine glasses, (11) Hope Springs IOU booklets, (11) Hope Springs Relationship Guides, (2) Movie Vouchers, (1) Set of Romantic Conversation Cards and (2) Hope Springs Mini Posters to share with my guests. We started the party using the romantic conversation cards and went around the room answering questions like… “What is your ideal romantic getaway? How do you show love?”
I had a nice spread set out for guests to have at their leisure which included pasta salad, meatballs, Tortilla Chips & Salsa, Chocolate Fudge Cake, Lemon Creme Cake and I made tropical cocktails to wash down our treats. I handed out the relationship guides and we discussed the particular situations mentioned in our households (Ex: Men and the continuing toilet seat battle and Keeping it sexy for your spouse etc.) as well as the IOU cards which were very cute! The IOU cards are given to your spouse as a romantic gesture and can be redeemed whenever they want to use it, just remember to honor it! Overall the Hope Springs Party was a HUGE hit and we were laughing throughout the entire evening. I can’t wait to go and see the movie, it’s the perfect date night! Have you been in a relationship for many years with your other half? How do you keeps those romantic flames ignited?
