It’s that time again! IHOP will host and celebrate it’s seventh annual National Pancake Day on Tuesday February 28, from 7am to 10pm at nationwide restaurants. Guests can enjoy a FREE short stack of Buttermilk pancakes and in return for your pancakes all they ask is that you consider donating a contribution of any amount to the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and other local charities. The 2012 goal is 2.7 Million! Since beginning National Pancake Day celebration in 2006, IHOP has raised nearly $8 million to support charities in the communities in which they operate. What A Good Feeling
Last month I hosted the Hebrew National Better Than-A-Picnic Picnic with some GREAT local NC Bloggers. It was a huge success thanks to AWESOME “Team Work” and connections. You gotta love people who know people in high places! We did a Diaper Drive and made Sibling Kits for our local area children’s hospitals. You can take a look at our story Hebrew National Picnic (NC) and be sure to check out our Whrll presentation. We had a blast!
I had a the pleasure of delivering the sibling kits to Duke Children’s Hospital and UNC North Carolina Children’s Hospital. Edith Rosenblat is in charge of volunteer services and taking donations for Duke Children’s Hospital. She was overjoyed and appreciated the sibling kits. Denina R. Vinson handles Developmental Services & is Stewardship Manager for UNC Children’s Hospital ” Children’s Promise” she was very thankful and appreciated our efforts.
For more information on volunteering or donating items for hospitalized children or siblings of children that are hospitalized please go to Duke Children’s Hospital and Health Center and NC Children’s Promise. Give… It’s an awesome feeling to know that you helped put a smile on a child’s face!
