Social Media is becoming more and more of a necessary tool that businesses and organizations are using to promote time sensitive information to the influential(s) in the blogoshpehere and twitterverse. We all have different followers on Facebook, Twitter, and our blogs etc. Promoting information using social media to our audiences will be a sure way to get the information spread quickly across different platforms causing a domino effect of sharing so the information goes viral. Cuban Revolution Restaurant & Bar Partners with Local Charities in launching Social Media Fundraising Program: CHARITYRevolution
(Providence) The power of social media to attract activists, who can rapidly spread word to like-minded social media followers, is a key component of CHARITY Revolution, set to launch in January 2011 by Cuban Revolution Restaurant & Bar as a means to partner with local charities to augment their fundraising efforts.
The first CHARITY Revolution in Durham will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., January 17, 2011, at Cuban Revolution Restaurant & Bar, 318 Blackwell Street, Durham, NC. The partner charity will be The Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina.
The mission of The Food Bank of CENC is The mission of the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina is to harness and supply resources so that no one goes hungry in central and eastern North Carolina.
The innovative effort will begin in January and continue on a monthly basis at restaurant locations in Durham, North Carolina and Providence, Rhode Island. It allows a charity and the restaurant to leverage their individual social media presences and combine followers to rapidly spread the word of CHARITY Revolution fund raising receptions while promoting attendance and charitable giving.
We are currently asking local media and businesses for donations to our raffle for this event. We are in need of the following:
Movie, Museum and theater Passes
Gift Cards to local businesses
Discount cards
Any donation you can make will be greatly appreciated. In addition, we will be sending out a donation list to our followers on all social media platforms as a “thank you†and a way to get your businesses name in charitable circles as well as social media circles.
