So I’ve had an amazing week filled with happiness, sadness, disappointments, achievements, chaos and sheer laziness. My mom has been in town for this week and I’ve been a bit spoiled by her preparing most of the meals. On Friday’s I usually post my favorite recipe of the week or my craving at the time I’m posting but, last night I was watching movies until 4:00 a.m. this morning with the family. We took movie night into the next day!
So, here are some of the highlights of my week. I left last Friday to get my mom from Washington, DC she’s visiting originally from the Virgin Islands. We decided that since we were so close to New York why not drive the additional three hours to go and see my sister. We spent about 48 hours in New York and left Sunday night to get me back home in order to roll into work Monday morning. We pulled in at 7:30 a.m and I was sitting at my desk by 9:00 a.m. It was pointless to lay down because I wouldn’t have gotten up. So I’ve been working a modified schedule due to my mom being in town. It wasn’t so bad. I was at home by 1:00 p.m. then I went to sleep and didn’t get up until about 8:00 p.m. Talk about off of schedule! So, then I decided to cook dinner and it was Fried Chicken with Macaroni & Cheese one of my hubbies favorites! I can’t say I’ve prepared a meal since then, mom has taken over… AND it feels good!
Last week my computer crashed and I just got it back yesterday so, now I’m loading on all of my essential programs that allow me to create designs. It had to be wiped clean and there was no way around it. I asked… The rest of the week has been catching up with mom, taking her around and lots of late nights. Mom is a night owl! Last night was our latest night staying up , but during the week was just as bad. In between 2:00 a.m. – 3:00 a.m. was the frequent time that I’d lay down. I was just a basket case at work all week. However, It’s okay. I don’t see mom that often and it’s worth every bag under my eye!
I’ve posted some pics of my lovely eating this week. I’ll post a recipe next week.
Until Next time…
~ Peace & Love
