I had an absolute blast when I visited San Francisco, California last month. I was literally there for no more than 48 hours and after work was done, it was time to sight see and play! I was in town to participate in the Lenovo Launch of the NEW YOGA Products. I had some great people to hang out with (Jocelyn, Juan & Taylor) and we made a list of all the things we wanted to do and set off to explore San Francisco. Here are some of my favorite moments…
.) I was introduced to actually using Uber. I’ve always been reluctant to take one alone but, have no issues when I’m with a group of people. I have a warped way of thinking. Lol! We also took a San Francisco Taxi and it was pretty cool. We used Uber a lot to get around when we weren’t walking.
.) We visited Fishermans Wharf and ate at In-N-Out Burger. It was my first visit and Taylor said it’s a must have when in California. It was a good experience and I enjoyed my Burger, Fries and Coca-Cola. Jocelyn, Juan & Taylor added cheese to their Burgers. I was the odd ball. I’m very selective on what I’ll put cheese on. Lol!
.) We walked on Pier 39 and visited the Sea Lion Center. We also got a glance of the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz Island. I did a live Periscope for the first time in San Francisco, California and it wasn’t so bad. The scenery is so beautiful! We also stopped at a local concession stand and had to get Churros, Corn Dog & Soft Drinks!
.) We visited the Westfield San Francisco Centre and it was huge! I really got my steps in walking that mall. It has like seven stories and great stores. The ceiling was beautiful and they have some really nice restaurants inside. I was proud of my fitness activity that day. My Moto 360 kept track of my progress.
.) We went on a walking adventure thanks to Google Maps giving us false information. We wanted to find a Best Buy in close proximity to our location. Google told us there was one a few miles away and we decided to walk. I saw every part of San Francisco that night. Lol! When we got to the address we ended up at a Mercedes Benz Dealership. We then called an Uber to take us to the next nearest Best Buy Location.
.) We had dinner at Sam’s Cable Car Lounge in Union Square. It’s been around a long time and seems to be a staple in the community. I had a California Mule and Pepperoni Pizza! It was a GREAT night. We walked from the hotel and it wasn’t far. One of the best ways to learn where you are is to just walk around.
.) I enjoyed the cable cars, city look and feel as well as the InterContinental Hotel where I stayed. The one thing we had on our list that we didn’t get to accomplish, was visit China Town. I’ll make sure to do that on my next visit. OVERALL… I loved San Francisco, California! It’s a GREAT city! I’m sure there is so much more to see and do.
