Disclosure: I received a package of Exuviance Pigment Lifting Masque (6 packets) for review purposes. All opinions are mine alone.
I have very sensitive skin and also some problem areas with dark spots. When I wash my face, if the cleanser is too strong it will leave my skin looking red, irritated and dried out. I have a bad habit of picking at my skin. When I pick my skin especially in the dry flaky areas, I always have some sort of mark left behind. My problem areas are my forehead, side burn areas and just in front of my hair line in some areas. I was excited to try Exuviance and see what type of effect it would have on my skin. I was also eager to see results and share it with everyone. Exuviance is a dermatologist developed pigment lifting masque with concentrated brighteners that diminishes the look of dark spots. It creates a more even tone leaving skin luminous, cushioned with moisture.
It’s a great at home pampering experience and so easy to use. Directions are to gently cleanse your face and pat it dry. I cleansed my face with a gentle facial cleanser because I have very sensitive skin. I opened the packet and unfolded the masque with both hands. There were cut-outs for my eyes, mouth and nose. I placed the masque over my entire face and gently smoothed the fabric onto my skin. I relaxed and left the masque on for 10 minutes. I removed and discarded the masque after I was done. I massaged in the excess solution onto my skin. Bonus: There was no mess to deal with! It was recommended to follow up with a moisturizer. **For best results, use with Exuviance OptiLight Products. My skin definitely felt moisturized after using the masque and had a bright fresh look.
I used the Exuviance Pigment Lifting Masque for a little over a week. It is recommended to be used once or twice a week. I chose to do it right before bedtime. I’m pretty picky and critical of myself when it comes to taking photos. I am the queen of editing my photos before I publish them on my blog or social media platforms because of my skin insecurities. In Photoshop Express I am able to reduce the noise and remove blemishes if I am not satisfied with the raw footage. I don’t wear makeup on a daily basis, only on special occasions. I don’t use concealer, foundation or cover up makeup on my skin. I try and remember to at least use some mascara and lip gloss from day to day, but I am usually all natural. I’m definitely a work in progress. I’ll continue to work on keeping my skin moisturized properly and keeping my hands out of my face.
I did see my dark spot areas lighten up after using Exuviance Pigment Lifting Masque and start to even out my skin tone. I used three applications out of the six. Vitamin C helps with the brightening process and diminishes your existing dark spots and helps prevent forming new ones.
