Disclosure: I received DermaTherapy Bed Linens for review purposes. All opinions are mine alone. #SweetSleepRelief
I was excited when I got the opportunity to review DermaTherapy, therapeutic bed linens due to my overly sensitive skin and numerous allergies. I have eczema and psoriasis. I’m not even going to deny that I spend lots of time in my bed. Sometimes I even work in my bed with my lap desk or laying down. My sons also have eczema and my seven year old likes to find his way in my bed ALL THE TIME. We watch movies, play video games and have even done homework in bed if we aren’t at our dining room table. The first thing that really stood out to me was how smooth the fabric was to the touch. I honestly could tell that I would enjoy a good nights rest on them. I have combination skin, my skin has a tendency to be really oily in some areas and I also get dry patches that I pick at then my skin gets really irritated. I use mild soap on my skin and try to use moisturizing bars that won’t additionally dry out my skin. I also have numerous food allergies and will break out in hives if I’m not careful and expose myself to something I shouldn’t. I walk around with an EpiPen and to top it off I have year round allergies. I need to be in a bubble. I can’t win! Lol! It was nice to be able to enjoy something that was not going to cause any adverse reactions.
Let me tell you about DermaTherapy: It’s the next generation of therapeutic bedding. As the only therapeutic bedding on the market, DermaTherapy is cleaner, drier and smoother than standard cotton bedding. An investment in the quality of DermaTherapy means an investment in comfort and durability. This bedding stands up to three to five times the lifespan of traditional cotton bedding and it will not fray, pill, lint or shrink with extended laundering. DermaTherapy is extremely smooth to minimize abrasion. Cotton fibers protrude and can irritate skin. Cleaner: DermaTherapy maintains its freshness by eliminating odors caused by germs and harmful bacteria on the fabric. This specially engineered fabric has antimicrobial and soil release treatments that keep your bedding cleaner and easier to was. Drier: Advancement of technological development in fabric science brings you bedding that actually wicks moisture away from your skin, helping to regulate body temperature and keeps your skin more drier and comfortable. Smoother: Unlike cotton & poly-cotton sheets, DermaTherapy fabric is woven with long, continuous strands that are free of short, protruding fibers or pills that can create friction and cause irritation.
Overall, I LOVED my DermaTherapy Bed Linen. My one quirk and it’s totally just my OCD is that the sheets are so smooth that when I make my bed as soon as someone sits on it, jumps on it (my seven year old) or brushes it while passing by it automatically messes up my bed. I also can’t stand when the kids sit on my bed and instead of getting straight up, they slide off my bed. Ugh! I found myself constantly going behind someone to straighten my bed. I don’t like my sheets and comforter shifted to one side, it all has to be even and I like my bed wrinkle free when I’m NOT physically in it. Again… This is totally my OCD taking over. The DermaTherapy sheets do everything it states. I have had wonderful nights of sleep with less skin irritation. Its been a HOT summer and I don’t have a tendency to sweat at night but, I wasn’t uncomfortable and the sheets kept me cool in bed. I’ve washed my sheets a few times and they feel the same as when I first opened the package. It hasn’t lost any quality and it continues to feel nice and smooth. DermaTherapy makes sleeping in on a Saturday morning so much better! I have no complaints about DermaTherapy Bed Linen. I’ll just have to deal with my ODC as I do with my other little quirks. Lol!
