After I entered my room… The first thing wanted to do was see the view from my balcony. I headed straight for the curtains. Once I recorded the scene in my mind and took a picture to post on Facebook, I was able to explore the rest of my Swan Deluxe King Suite. Priorities People! I immediately fell in love with my King Sized Bed and the décor of the room. I just knew I was going to have the best rest that evening on my Heavenly bed. The color scheme was perfect and I really liked my designer chair that was the cutest shades of blue in a chic print. I loved the private vanity in the bathroom area along with the complimentary shower cap, mending kit and vanity kit. It’s the little things.
I can’t tell you how many times I have left home forgetting to pack my shower cap when traveling. The shower is AMAZING. It feels like you are taking a shower in the rain with the perfect temperature and water pressure. I enjoyed the widescreen LG TV that was in the room. I got to enjoy 30 channels of HD programming including Showtime & ESPN. I tend to sleep with the television on when I am away from home. It’s weird! When I’m home I turn my TV off before I fall asleep. I had complimentary in-room enhanced high speed wireless internet access. At night, I would work with the TV on in the background and then fall asleep. That was my nightly routine!
Guest rooms are equipped with a mini fridge with pantry service, coffee maker with complimentary tea and Starbucks Coffee in-room. If you travel with lots of tech devices like me you may want to utilize the in-room safe for your valuables. You have a two line telephone with data port and voicemail service available to you. You have a separate vanity outside of your bathroom along with hair dryer, makeup mirror and ironing board with iron if you need it. The closet is a good size and you can hang up your business casual wear or any dresses you may have packed. The rooms are Non-Smoking and there are also disability accessible rooms available.
One of my favorite parts of staying at the Walt Disney Swan and Dolphin Resort has to be the location! It’s conveniently located in the middle of EVERYTHING! I mean it’s perfectly located in the heart of Walt Disney World Resort. You can get to Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and nearby Animal Kingdom & Magic Kingdom Park with ease. You can walk the trail to Epcot if you choose which takes about 15 minutes, complimentary shuttle service which runs every twenty minutes or by boat my favorite! The boat seemed to be the quickest route and it was fun to sight-see the boardwalk and Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resort on the way to Epcot.
The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort are in its final phase of a $140 million renovation. It’s the largest makeover in their history. This makeover includes stylish new guest rooms featuring the beloved Westin Heavenly Bed, and an upcoming $12 million lobby transformation to be rolled out very soon. As a guest you enjoy both Disney resort benefits and services and amenities of the Westin and Sheraton brands through their unique relationship with Disney. There are 17 world-class restaurants and lounges to enjoy along with the luxurious Mandara Spa. I can’t forget to mention the extended park hours benefit where you get to enjoy one of the theme parks each day for extra time with select attractions. The Disney FastPass+ Service is a must have! I breezed through lines and we were on a set schedule.
The scenery is so beautiful! I was able to walk the property and see most of what it had to offer on my last day. Recreational activities are: An onsite beach side playground for the kids to enjoy. Five swimming pools, including a grotto pool with waterfalls and water slide, and white sand beach. If you like to jog there are jogging trails, two health clubs, four lighted tennis courts and swan paddle boat rentals. You also have supervised children activities through Camp Dolphin when you need some YOU or ADULT time! There is also a game room to enjoy. There is a great selection of activities to take advantage of outside of Walt Disney World. I can’t wait to visit again with my family!
