The opportunity for me to attend Mom 2.0 truly fell into place. I had a coaching call with Danyelle Little of The Cubicle Chick last year and put on my vision board that I would attend Mom 2.0 in 2017. Speaking to Danyelle helped me gain clarity of things I should be doing because I was all over the place. I needed to create a strategy and plan for my blog and business and stick to it. I’m still in process with certain things but, continuing education and networking is always at the top of my list.
Tickets were all SOLD OUT to Mom 2.0 and I got discouraged. I didn’t even add my name to the waiting list because I knew how popular this summit was. As we drew closer to the date for one reason or another people could no longer attend and were looking to sell and/or transfer their ticket to someone who could attend. Anne J. Parris of Not a Supermom was the reason I could attend Mom 2.0. She helped me secure awesome roommates so I wouldn’t have to worry about high expenses with the ticket, travel and lodging! THANK YOU Anne! This totally wouldn’t have been possible without you.
I have heard nothing but, positive things about Mom 2.0 from previous attendees. The fact that it is an event tailored towards conversations between Moms, Marketers and Media was more than enough for me to want to experience it myself. I’ve been pretty selective about the blog and media conferences that I will attend and go for different reasons. Mom 2.0 was a brand new experience for me and I wanted to take advantage of every opportunity it had to offer a first time attendee.
First, I must mention that the host hotel {Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes} was EXCELLENT and met every expectation! The staff was very accommodating making sure that we were comfortable and didn’t need anything. I arrived a day early so I could relax and take in the scenes before the summit started. On Wednesday I got up and registered for the event and immediately took advantage of the jump start programming. I attended “How to Build a Company from Dream to Reality†and “Strategies for Creating Consistent Affiliate Incomeâ€
The amount of information I got out of those two sessions alone AND this is before the official summit started gave me an immediate return on my investment! I took notes, pictures of slides, and connected with other attendees in the sessions. I left with a plan on how I would continue to grow my blog and business. I’ve NEVER done anything affiliate and was ready to dive into the world of creating a consistent affiliate income with step by step strategies and brands to connect with that have a decent payout rate. I left with instructions that would get me RESULTS from both sessions!
The Florida SunFest Welcome Party was AMAZING! Thank you to Prime Photos, Amazon Prints, Warner Bros. Pictures and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures “Everything, Everythingâ€, and Prudential! The party took place at the Ritz-Carlton Pool and it was the place to be. So much good food, cocktails and the desserts were so yummy! At one point, I looked around and there was no one dancing and I remember mentioning not really attending a conference party with no dancing. The very next moment…
I look up and Natasha Nicholes of House of Nicholes got the party started! Of course the Wobble came on and I had to jump in for a quick second before retiring to a lounge chair. It was so much FUN! I wanted to turn in early and get ready for the beginning of the “official†summit. One thing I like about Mom 2.0 is they had specific tracks that you could follow. I stuck to the entrepreneur and media tracks because that’s where I have a need to grow at the moment. I’ve been an official entrepreneur for one year!
Realizing that my blog is my business along with opening an online boutique is where all my priorities lie at the moment. This is how I make a living, support my family and pay my bills. I have no room to make excuses or FAIL! This has to work! That’s my daily attitude! Mom 2.0 gave me much needed encouragement and the support I needed to continue on this passionate entrepreneurial journey of mine. I would recommend attending Mom 2.0 to EVERYONE no matter where you are in your blogging or business journey.
When you attend Mom 2.0 you leave with a sense of satisfaction that you are going to accomplish what you have set out to do. You get so much with the added support of your COMMUNITY! I’m already excited about next year. I’ll be back to share more of my memorable Mom 2.0 moments with you.
