Yo Gabba Gabba Live came to The Raleigh Memorial Auditorium. I planned a Mommy & Me date night with Mini me! I think at times I was having a better time than him. The entire Yo Gabba Gabba cast was there, DJ Lance Rock, Brobee, Foofa, Muno, Plex and Toodee along with special guest Biz Markie. The Yo Gabba Gabba Live tour is being sponsored by Kia Motors and will be traveling to more than 50 cities. When we got to the auditorium there were cutouts of the cast members all around the lobby and I asked mini me to take a picture with Muno. He did, and we also took a picture in front of the Kia Sorento back drop. After pictures, we went to our seats quickly because we didn’t want to miss a thing! Mini Me and I had really good seats, we were in the dress circle with a great view of the stage.
The show started with DJ Lance Rock on the big screen and then he appeared on stage as did the other cast members eventually. Mini Me was fine until he decided he wanted to hug Foofa and it was a roller coaster of emotions after that. The songs that were performed were familiar to us due to watching Yo Gabba Gabba on Nick Jr., everyone sang along and participated in the activities. When it was Dancey Dance time special guests the Carolina Rollergirls hit the stage with the Yo Gabba Gabba cast and started to teach everyone a new dance. I think my favorite part of the entire show was when Biz Markie did the beat of the day and then started to DJ and he hit the turn tables and went Ole’ School, I had a ball! Mini Me enjoyed the “Wiggle†Song and really got into it, another favorite was “I Like Bugsâ€.
I look forward to Yo Gabba Gabba touring in the future; I’d definitely take Mini Me to see it again. It was great time spent with my preschooler and we both appreciated the one on one time spent with one another, he’s the youngest of four children and I try to give each child individual attention doing something they like. It was definitely an awesome evening. Take a look at some of the pictures from Yo Gabba Gabba Live!
