I was excited to take part in the Apricot Lane Boutique Grand Opening event at Southpoint Mall in Durham, North Carolina. Triangle Area Fashion, Beauty & Lifestyle Bloggers (TriFabb) played a huge role in coordinating this event with Apricot Lane Boutique and planned out a full day of festivities. There was a outdoor fashion show scheduled but due to some rainy weather the all day celebration had to be altered a just a little bit. The outdoor fashion show was cancelled and TriFabb community members got makeup done by Bare Escentuals and modeled the hottest summer styles during the in store event. We were showcasing the awesome apparel you can purchase at Apricot Lane Boutique. I liked everything from the accessories to tops, jeans and summer dresses. Some of the fun included playing a spinning wheel game for great prizes! I played and won $10 Diva Dollars! Also, as a way of giving back to our community %15 of all Apricot Lane Boutique sales that day was donated to local non profit Transforming Hope Ministries along with personal goods drive items for the women’s safe home.
Apricot Lane Boutique brings you the latest fashionable trends with new items coming in daily. One of my new must haves is fashionable dresses with pockets. I ALWAYS have my phone in hand, followed by keys, and sometimes my wallet or credit card & driver’s license. Apricot Lane has a sexy designed strapless summer dress with pockets that I plan to add to my closet very soon. However, I didn’t model that dress… It’s on my wish list! I modeled a floral design dress by Under Skies which I totally loved! It was very colorful and fitting allowing me to show off my curves. Yes, this mommy of “The Fab Four” (which I lovingly call my four children) still has a figure to flaunt! My makeup matched perfectly thanks to Corban, an awesome makeup artist at Bare Escentuals. I didn’t take a picture of the dress (silly me!) so I had to describe it to her, telling her the dress was multicolored with coral, sage and black being the dominant colors. Corbin did an amazing smokey eye with the perfect lip color to match that popped! I received many compliments on my makeup, the dress and I felt great wearing it.
