I was so happy to learn that the Polyvore App is now available on iPad and the iPhone version has been updated. I am always on my iPhone and iPad and it’s so much more convenient for me to create fashion boards now. Disclosure: I’ve had the Polyvore app downloaded on my iPhone 5 but have not used it yet, just on my iPad. I love the touch screen aspect now, where as before I had to use my mousepad to drag and drop when creating a fashion set on my laptop. I only pull out my laptop when I am using Photoshop for Graphic Design purposes. It doesn’t leave the house anymore and my iPad goes everywhere with me! I now have the freedom to create comfortably on the go when I have those tiny moments to spare. I love to pull outfits together, purchase items if I don’t own certain pieces already and wear it! The Polyvore app gives me an idea of how the outfit is going to look all together and confirms that I have pretty good taste!
Polyvore allows you to discover the top sets trending by visiting the trends link in the left bar. You can also check your feed and see activity from the friends you follow. You can swipe through each set to browse and see what everyone’s been up to and can also like the set or comment when you see something that you love. You have the option of seeing individual pieces of a set when you click on the item and get a description along with pricing and information where you can find it. I must say that I can’t wait to create a room, I’ve only used Polyvore to create fashion sets and never explored designing the rooms in my dream home with the perfect furniture and accessories. This will be exciting since I’m in the home buying process and will eventually be decorating the rooms in my new house. Using your iPad to create collages with the perfect size canvas makes it so easy to lay out your design. When you click on an item, the blue box will appear around the item to guide you in the size, position and look you are trying to achieve.
I’ll be creating Polyvore home and fashion sets on my iPad frequently. The app is truly user friendly and super easy to navigate. I’ve only created fashion sets on a blank background but, I’m going to start adding embellishments to really make my collages pop. Feel free to connect with me on Polyvore. I’ll see that you’ve connected and I’ll return the Poly-love! My username on Polyvore is the same as my Twitter handle @JaelDesignsInc. Take a look at what I just did… Ciao! Until Next Time…
