Disclosure: I received a Lenovo Dual-Mode Wireless Touch Mouse N700 as a participating member in the Lenovo Insiders Program for review and BTS (Back to School) campaign purposes, all opinions are solely my own.
I’ve had the chance to get acquainted with my Lenovo Dual-Mode Wireless Touch Mouse N700 and I absolutely love it. I used it with my Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro via USB receiver by connecting it to the USB port on my computer. My Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro Ultrabook automatically identified the mouse and I was able to start using it immediately. I’m currently using it in wireless connection mode but have the option to use it in Bluetooth 4.0 mode as well by pairing it. Bonus: There is a third mode… Laser Presenter mode, which is great for presentations. When you rotate the mouse counterclockwise it switches to laser presenter mode. When it’s rotated clockwise, it’s in mouse mode. It was super easy to open the battery cover on the mouse and install the two AAA batteries needed to power it up. There is a storage area within the battery compartment to store the USB receiver for safe keeping. That is super convenient, because the first thing that came to mind when I saw the USB receiver was… Where am I going to store this so I don’t lose it!
Here are the specs: Wireless technology, Bluetooth 4.0 low energy technology (only support Windows 8 system with Bluetooth 4.0) and bidirectional 2.4-GHz, radio frequency, resolution 1200 DPI, Input: 3.0V-40mA, Battery: 2 x AAA Batteries. System Requirements: Microsoft Windows 7, Microsoft Windows 8, USB Port.
The Lenovo Dual-Mode Wireless Touch Mouse N700 is compact and portable. It’s touch sensitive and recognizes one finger gestures – perfectly optimized for Windows 8. It’s easy to switch in between modes with the dual function as well as presenter mode. It’s orange and matches my Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro Ultrabook perfectly. One of my favorite features on the mouse is the Windows Key, it takes me right back to my start screen. It’s also touch sensitive and recognizes your one touch gestures. If I slide my finger up and down it will allow me to scroll vertically. If I swipe right, I can switch to the last APP I had open. If I swipe left, I can toggle to the charms screen. The LED light will show green when in wireless mouse or Bluetooth mode. When the batteries are low, the LED light will blink red continuously alerting you to change the batteries. When not in use, the mouse will go into hibernation mode after a few minutes.
Overall: I love the look and color of the Lenovo Dual-Mode Wireless Touch Mouse N700. It’s very user friendly and compatible with my Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro Ultrabook. I really like the functionality allowing me to use it in dual modes and the bonus laser mode. It’s also really cool looking too, and the perfect shape and size. In my opinion, this is by far the coolest mouse I’ve ever owned! It gives me options when I don’t want to use my built in mouse pad on my Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro Ultrabook especially when working on a design project.
