This was my second trip to Las Vegas and I definitely took advantage of being on the Las Vegas Strip. It’s very comparable to New York City because Las Vegas never sleeps. I stayed at The Treasure Island Hotel & Casino and had one of the best views that overlooked the Strip. I was conveniently located across the street from The Venetian Hotel & Casino where most of the events I was scheduled to attend were being held. If nothing else, I definitely got my walking in while I was there. I walked to Fashion Show Mall, I walked the Strip and I walked to the Sands Convention Center and I walked Downtown Las Vegas. These boots were made for walking! Here are some of my favorite moments from visiting Las Vegas during International CES.
.) I’m such a foodie and had some of the best foods from the best restaurants every night! It was funny because everything was a five course meal and by the time I would finish my entrée, I was wondering if I would be able to handle dessert which is my favorite part of the meal. Head over to my @Jael007 Instagram account and you will see what I am talking about.
.) I discovered that Las Vegas has a Downtown, I thought the Las Vegas Strip was considered Downtown. Thanks to Nate Sarbin from my Lenovo Insiders group we ventured out and he was my tour guide. Me, Nate and Juan Dimida hit the Downtown Streets of Las Vegas. We enjoyed a light show and took in the scenery. Nate even went Zip Lining and I chickened out!
.) We caught the Cirque Du Soleil Mystere Performance and I had a great time. I can now say that I have seen a live performance in Las Vegas. It was a beautiful show with some moments of comic relief. When the cast was performing and doing these really intricate stunts up in mid air, I went back to I can’t believe I chickened out on Zip Lining. Lol!
.) I LOVE walking through The Venetian Hotel & Casino. I am obsessed with the ceilings and overall design. Almost every time I was in The Venetian I took photos and video of where I was and what I was doing. It’s just a beautiful sight to see! It’s also where TAO and LAVO are located and they are two great night spots to venture off to when your in town.
.) I partied almost every night while I was in Las Vegas and had a ball! They were scheduled parties with partners of Lenovo like the Microsoft Party, Intel Party and Social Media Party with Tech Cocktail. There were some cool appearances by Third Eye Blind, Wonderbread 5, DJ Jordan Laws, Tone Loc, and Ryan Higa.
.) I had the pleasure of bumping into Iron Man while I was Downtown Las Vegas. I had to snap a picture and send it back to mini me because he loves Marvel Avengers and Iron Man so much. I also saw sightings of The Joker, Tupac, Michael Jackson and a few Naughty Nuns. I’m sure I’m missing a few impersonators but, it was fun!
.) The Girl Scouts were in attendance at CES this year bringing awareness about the new online Girl Scout Cookie Program #DigitalCookie also allowing CES attendees the hands on experience of using iPads and computers to access an individual Girl Scouts personal website to order Girl Scout Cookies. Girl Scouts have gone high tech this year and I love it! Glad I was able to visit the booth, support a Girl Scout (Troop) and order my Savannah Smiles!
.) I was super busy during CES but when I was in my hotel room, I enjoyed relaxing, getting rest and the super soft bed and pillows that allowed me to sleep like a baby! I also loved my chase lounge because it became my office. That is where I would Skype with my kids, blog and engage on social media.
.) I got to visit Fashion Show Mall! It was conveniently close to Treasure Island Hotel & Casino. I was able to walk just across the street to this shopping empire. There were four floors of department stores, shops and boutiques. I treated myself to some Steve Madden Booties!
.) I really enjoyed all the different Casino’s despite the fact that I didn’t gamble! It’s been my second time visiting Las Vegas & I didn’t really gamble! I did pull one FREE slot machine when I went on my excursion to Downtown Las Vegas.
