Disclosure: Thank you for Best Buy sponsoring this post. I received a ZTE Spro 2 Wireless Projector in order to conduct my review and share my experience. All opinions are 100% honest and completely my own.
I can’t tell you how excited I was when I was presented with the opportunity to possibly review the ZTE Spro 2 Wireless Smart Projector. My family loves to watch movies and we game on a regular basis. I schedule frequent family movie nights and I couldn’t help but, think of all the FUN possibilities we would have with the ZTE Spro 2 Wireless Smart Projector. Just Think… Movies in the Park or at the Pool! I always talk about how I love convenience and let me tell you being able to have a portable projector with an Android 4.4.4 operating system with access to the web and Google Play are VERY convenient. When I received the ZTE Spro 2 Wireless Smart Projector is was very easy to set up. It was already charged so I didn’t need to plug in. It has a built in battery and can project for up to 2.5 hours and about 16 hours with connectivity. I had the option to project anywhere inside my house or outdoors. My home office was the first room I decided to used the projector in. I pressed the power key to turn it on and then was prompted to set up my projector. There are a variety of ways you can turn on and off the projector. I used one of my existing Google accounts to sign in. I was immediately able to access my Gmail and the Google Play Store. If you aren’t an existing Google client, you’ll be prompted to create an account.
The 5 inch display has a built-in touch-screen making it easy to navigate through folders. You can swipe to access all the pages in each folder. One of my favorite features is that fact that you can connect other devices through USB or HDMI connections. You can use a Micro-SD card to access movies; photos etc. and you also can connect through WiFi or Bluetooth. In addition to having Google Apps at your fingertips you have the option to project a variety of content a few different ways. We have movies stored on our hard drive and it’s easy to connect and project with ease. I was able to download Netflix and stream Queen of the Damned for our last movie night. We also love to watch movie trailers for upcoming releases and it really makes you feel as though you are watching previews at the movie theater. It’s a cool feeling! In addition to projecting movies you can connect your gaming console through HDMI input and project your game. Here are some key features: You get 200 lumens brightness with auto focus and keystone correction. The ZTE Spro Wireless Smart Projector can project up to 120 inches with 720p HD resolution. The fact that it has a compact frame with premium casings measuring 5.3†x 5.2†x 1.2†and weighs 19.4 oz is a bonus. Oh, I can’t forget to mention the amazing sound you get from the JBL Speakers. It’s crystal clear and you control the volume!
There are so many possibilities with the ZTE Spro 2 Wireless Smart Projector. I was able to download the Spro 2 Remote Control App on my Moto X Pure Edition. It allows me to control the projector with my smart phone while we’re connected to the same WLAN. I also have the option to cast my screen through Mircast using my phone and the app. I can also use the projector as a hot spot access point allowing my other devices to connect to the ZTE Spro2 via WiFi. Just to be clear you can’t use the hotspot to access the internet, it lets you to connect your devices to the projector via WiFi. There is a Voice Assistant that gives you control of certain features through voice command. The ZTE Spro 2 Wireless Smart Projector is very user friendly. My eight year old was able to navigate his way around the home screen and also find the apps folder to access Netflix and choose his profile so he could stream Hotel Transylvania 2. He does have an advantage with a tech savvy mom but, I didn’t help him and he’s smart enough to work the projector along with smartphones and tablets on his own. Overall, I absolutely love the ZTE Spro 2 Wireless Smart Projector. I can’t wait to use it at some of my hosted events. I even went online to project my blog because you know… I had to and it looked great! I did project on my wall but, I plan on purchasing a screen for when we go outdoors and host events.
