Disclosure: I am a Lenovo Insider and Moto Maker (Brand Ambassador) for both brands. All opinions are 100% honest and solely my own. #MotoMakers #LenovoIN
I have been a Lenovo Insider for about three years and I’ve been a Moto Maker for the last year. I can’t tell you how many amazing experiences I’ve had by being a part of such great communities. The Lenovo Insiders are global and the Moto Makers are US based. We all talk and share ideas on line but magic happens when we all get to attend certain events and meet in person. We are a tech family in a sense. I love when I have an opportunity to meet some of the global Lenovo Team Members along with global Lenovo INsiders. This is probably the 1st time in my life I can say I have friends in Canada, Singapore, India, Australia, Germany and Mexico (literally all over the world). It’s the same when meeting my fellow Moto Makers from all over the United States. It’s nice to know that I have friends in other cities and states that offer to let me crash at their place if I’m ever in town. I love that we all have built relationships online but, we pick right up where we left off even if meeting for the first time face to face.
Lenovo and Moto are brands that are conversation starters. I can’t tell you how many times I have been out and about with my Lenovo YOGA 900, Moto X Pure Edition or Moto 360 and I get asked about my device(s). In a sense I will demo my multi-mode laptop, phone and smartwatch on the spot. I’ve even done it on a plane when traveling. It’s a piece of cake to me since I love to network. I recently gave my card to a fellow traveler after I completed a demo of my laptop because his wife was in the market for a new one. He thought she would love the Lenovo YOGA line and I suggested that she visit my blog and read my reviews on the YOGA products I’ve had. I also mentioned that there are newer models that she can research as well like the YOGA 900 S. It’s also nice to see Lenovo products when I am out and about in the community or when traveling. People don’t know what to think when I stop to take a photo of a Lenovo ThinkVision at a hotel check-in and concierge. I always see Lenovo products at banks but, I won’t take a photo in a bank on the teller line. I even think that’s a little weird and it may not even be allowed.
Overall, I tell you all of that to say this… Lenovo and Moto bring people together and I love it! I have made so many friends with some of the same interests and we even help each other when we’re in a jam. It’s great to be able to connect with each other online regularly but, even better we get the chance to see each other face to face whether for the first time or it’s a reunion. We get to experience some of the most amazing opportunities together. The YOGA Launch, Lenovo Tech World and CES are great examples of events that brought us together offline. I am fortunate enough to live within a few minutes from the US Lenovo Headquarters located in Morrisville, NC. I’ve been to an event that was hosted at the Lenovo headquarters and it was awesome. I get to see some US Lenovo Team Members somewhat regularly that are based in North Carolina. It’s nice to be linked with a brand that you genuinely love. It’s not just the amazing devices that they create or that they keep coming up with something better than before because you know… “Innovation Never Stands Stillâ€, but it’s the people behind the scenes that makes it that much sweeter!
Thank you Lenovo & Moto for giving us a real sense of community; it just keeps growing positively and bringing people together. (Motorola is a Lenovo Company) Some people still don’t realize that.
