Today is Day #3 of the Ultimate Blog Challenge and the assignment is to “Quote Someone Else” share a favorite quote and share my thoughts on it. My quote is: “Don’t wait. The time will never be just right.†~Napoleon Hill
So, I am a new business owner and even though I’ve been an entrepreneur for a little over a year, I’m still a newbie to this. Before I started my business I kept procrastinating always thinking there was going to be that perfect moment to start a business. I was so wrong! I’m married, work full time, and have four children to raise. There is no perfect moment where I would have just the right amount of money saved for collateral on a loan or a nice little financial cushion to be there when I needed it. As in life… things happen!
If you have a vision or an idea I would say to shoot for the moon and beyond! If you are waiting and thinking there’s going to be a perfect moment to do it, I’d say JUST DO IT (Like Nike)! AND DO IT NOW!!! I have met so many awesome people since I started my business and started blogging. I started blogging to journal my entrepreneur experience and share resources. That kind of fizzed out because my blog wasn’t too personal but, full of business information. I started to get more personal and I saw my readership sky rocket. One thing I have learned is it’s all about building relationships! Start your business, network and market yourself you’ll see the results in no time.
As with any business, we all like good customer service skills and we want to be treated with respect and hope that the person who is handling our request is genuine with trying to help us and that they value us as a consumer. Once you have a great experience with any business you naturally brag about it and share your experience with your friends and colleges. You may remember the person that helped you and only want to deal with them, that’s the start of a great relationship!
I’ve evolved so much in the last year and I’m going to keep evolving! I started out offering graphic and stationery designs. I now have added blog and web design and just started social media marketing! I’m loving every minute of it! So please don’t procrastinate on starting a dream of yours. You have to start somewhere, and you can watch it grow and manifest into something you didn’t even imagine it would! How’s that for inspiration & motivation? Are you still reading? Get Started… What are you waiting for?
