I’ll be in Washington D.C. for Power Up Weekend 2013, taking place on September 7th at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park and I’m more than ready to be there! I’m super excited to be a Social Media Ambassador alongside some of my favorite influential blogging-social media sisters for Power Up Weekend and I expect to leave Washington D.C. fully charge up, fearless and MOTIVATED! I know what your probably thinking… That’s a lot to expect from a conference but, you haven’t seen the stellar line up of speakers. Many thanks to Uneeka Jay (Powerful U Media) for coordinating this much needed event and opportunity. Fortunately I was able to meet Uneeka at Blogalicious last year. I get her daily dose of motivation and sheer honesty on Facebook. I can’t wait to hear her speak at Power Up Weekend. This conference IS a Power House packed with purpose!
The purpose behind Power Up Weekend is to learn from some of the BEST keynotes, attend awesome interactive break out sessions and NETWORK of course! I’m all about building and fostering meaningful relationships. I have had the pleasure of meeting a few of these amazing women at previous conferences and they all have compelling stories to share about their journey to walking in their purpose and living out their dreams. Overall this is a supportive community of women who want to see you succeed. Power Up weekend will leave you making necessary and important decisions that will change your life in a positive way! If you’ve ever been stuck, are currently stuck or see yourself getting stuck you need to attend Power Up Weekend to get some Power Up Weekend fairy dust sprikled on you to keep it moving! You will view things in a whole new way. I promise!
Just to give you a sneak peek of what you don’t want to miss… Ki Ki Ramsey (Get Courageous) will be speaking and her story is nothing less than amazing! I had the opportunity to hear Ki Ki Ramsey speak and meet her last year at Reinvention Revolution. Cecily Kellogg (Uppercase Woman) is hysterical online & offline and she knows her stuff about the business of branding. I had an opportunity to meet Cecily last year at Type A Parent Conference. Lucinda Cross (LC Associates) will leave you with a clear vision and plan to work towards. I’m fond of her vision board sessions. I’ve worked with Lucinda online and can’t wait to connect with her in person. Karla Trotman (BellyButtonBoutique.com) is a woman about her business and will show you how to turn your passion into profit. I’m in a few of the same social networking circles and groups as Karla and I can’t wait to connect in person.
The awesomeness continues with… Cheryl Pullins (Awesome Lifestyle), she has a remarkable story to share and I’ve also had the opportunity to meet her and hear her speak at Reinvention Revolution last year. When I tell you these women and their journeys will inspire you, bring you to tears and make you take a real good look at YOU! Get ready to make some CHANGES! There are a few speakers that I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting yet that I’m truly looking forward to hearing and they are Sheretta Gollday (Pastor, James & Sheretta Golladay Ministries), Shun Strickland (Shun Strickland Enterprise), Yvonne Bynoe (Soul Affluence), Lashawne Holland (Lashawne Holland Enterprises), Tosh Patterson (Be Well, Eat Well, Live Well) and Cristie Ritz-King (Real Life Wellness). I know I’m in for a treat!
If this sounds like where you need to be, I think you should join us! There’s even a procrastinator special, that tickled me! You have NO excuses! For more information check out the Power Up Weekend website and if you aren’t able to attend… I highly recommend you follow the #PowerUp2013 hashtag on Twitter during Power Up Weekend. Hope to see you there!
