Sally Hansen Party Over Here! I hosted a Girls Night In as part of a sponsored post for the Collective Bias® Social Fabric® Community. We were able to experiment with nail art designs, play with Sally Hansen Nail Polish Products and have a much needed girlfriends celebration! All opinions are solely my own. #cbias #SocialFabric #IHeartMyNailArt
I had the amazing opportunity to host a Girls Night In Party and go crazy with Sally Hansen nail products. For this evening of awesomeness I offered a light menu of finger foods so we could eat quickly on the go in between doing our nails. We had an array of dips (Spinach Dip, Crab Dip, and Salsa) with chips and crackers. Hawaiian Meatballs, Rainbow Blast Cake and a variety of drinks to choose from. I went shopping at Walgreens to rack up on all the Sally Hansen products we would be using. I was like a kid in a candy store, I wanted it all! Everything was displayed so well and the new items showcase popped! I immediately fell in love with the NEW “Fuzzy Coat” and “Sugar Coat” nail polish that was recently released. I love textured nails! It’s a funky style, so if I can achieve a look that’s going to turn heads that come with questions and compliments that’s what I’m going to do! Can you tell I love attention? Ha!
There were so many great color options, not to mention the different choices of Sally Hansen nail polish lines within the brand. There were some great sales that I took advantage of, doubled with using my Walgreens Balance Rewards Card and had a huge savings. Complete Salon Manicure Polish was on sale 2/$10 and the Gem Crush was on sales at 50% off! I made it my mission to get a few nail polish options from each line because I wanted to try them all and am totally in love with nail art. At the end of this shopping trip I ended up getting some Sally Hansen Crackle, Xtreme Wear, Fuzzy Coat, Sugar Coat, Insta Dry, Lustre Shine, Magnetic, Salon Manicure, Color Quick, Salon Effects and a few nail art pens! I was so ready to have a great Girls Night In! I made sure I had enough cotton balls, nail polish remover and make up wedges to make this a night of trial and error and experiments on our nails with tons of fashion, style, and artistic inspiration.
It’s Party Time… I set all my Sally Hansen nail polish up on a cup cake tower. I wanted it to be evenly displayed so everyone could see it and access what they wanted. It really had nothing to do with the fact that I had planned to bake cupcakes and time got ahead of me so I bought a cake instead. *laughs* It was so funny to see the looks on my friends faces when they were trying to figure out what they wanted to do with their nails. My girlfriend Dee said… “You gave us too many options”! I think the initial response was shock followed by minor anxiety until I said… “just play with everything until you make a decision and we can try whatever you want!” I had my iPad close by so that we were able to look up tutorials for different nail art designs. I have a thing for coordinating my nails with my handbag of the week or favorite accessories so I knew exactly what I wanted to try out, but like everyone else I played with almost everything.
I think the popular nail trend of the evening was multicolored nails, and different nail art on each finger! A few of my favorites were ombre nails, color blocking, salon effects and marble nail art! The rainbow burst cake inspired a marble nail design that I tried on my girlfriend and it came out great! If you’d like to see pictures of this entire party process, you can view it on my
Google Plus Photo Album. We all had a much needed Girls Night In and it was an awesome evening! This week at Walgreens BOGO 50% on Sally Hansen Polishes, Nail Art Pens and Salon Effects through 6/1. Check out #IHeartMyNailArt for more information and nail art ideas!
