GoodNites Tru-Fit Underwear Starter Pack works wonders. Bed wetting is something my son has been struggling with for a little while. My daily routine is to cut off liquids before bedtime, make sure he uses the bathroom before bedtime and set an alarm to get him up early in the morning to use the bathroom. Setting an alarm is hit or miss because it’s not like I have an exact time that he has to urinate every morning. Sometimes it’s successful and other times we miss the mark and he has an accident. There are times that he gets up on his own to use the bathroom but, those times are far and few between. I had been researching ways to help the situation and products to use. There’s nothing more frustrating than doing laundry for bed linen on a frequent basis. However, I try not to project my frustrations onto my son. I try to be supportive, encouraging and available when he needs me. There are many factors that can contribute to bed wetting. I know from a personal standpoint that transitioning from one place to another can be a factor for my son, like when we vacation, changes within the home dynamic is another and stress or anxiety. My son was diagnosed with separation anxiety and that definitely plays a role especially when he’s away from me or his father.
We recently went on vacation and visited family in Atlanta and New York. In Atlanta we stayed in a hotel for a few days and in New York we stayed with family. We did our usual bedtime routine in Atlanta, my alarm went off at 7:00 a.m. and he had already wet the bed. I had to call housekeeping to change the bed linen and let them know what had happened. Luckily we were visiting family so I was able to do laundry at their home. In New York even though he is used to visiting his grandparents, I guess it’s not home and he also had an accident. My youngest daughter wet the bed until she was six but had a kidney reflux issue. My son has been screened for reflux and his kidneys are functioning fine. I was very happy and encouraged when I discovered GoodNites Tru-Fit Underwear. I wanted to be able to introduce the underwear to him and not have him feel as though they were a kind or diaper or training pants. My son has been potty trained for a while and only has accidents overnight. I know my son gets embarrassed when he wets the bed because he immediately starts to apologize for it over and over again. I tell him it’s okay and he helps put his pajamas and sheets in the washing machine. He wore the GoodNites Tru-Fit Underwear with no problem. He didn’t even question me about the insert.
Funny Moment: So during our vacation my mother-in-law gives my son a bath before bedtime and proceeds to put the GoodNites on him. She thought they were regular underwear and forgot to use the insert. My son did have an accident and I asked if he soaked through the underwear NOT knowing that she didn’t put the insert in. That was a funny moment that we all laughed about. However the following night he wore the GoodNites Underwear properly and we didn’t have an accident. I like GoodNites Tru-Fit Underwear because it’s a washable cotton-blend fabric that works with disposable inserts. They are very absorbent keeping your child’s sheets and pajamas dry all night. I also like that they are available for boys and girls with different designs and sizes. I purchased my GoodNites Tru-Fit Underwear Starter Kit at CVS. It was conveniently located in the isle with the diapers and training pants. If your a frugal mom like me and love your coupons, I’m sharing a $4.00 off coupon for GoodNites Tru-Fit Starter Pack.
