I previously posted on the Back-To-MAC program how you could return (6) empty M.A.C containers and redeem a FREE M.A.C lipstick of your choice. I recently had the opportunity to take advantage of that cool MAC perk. I went to the MAC counter at my local Nordstrom Department Store and was helped by MAC Consultant Tiwa Lawrence. She was amazing and knows her makeup! Tiwa has been featured on Essence.com “Bridal Bliss†for her excellent makeup skills. I walked in the store knowing that I wanted a lipstick in the purple family. Tiwa chose a few different options for me and between her and my sister we all voted and the winner was “Up The Amp†I appreciate all the help that Tiwa gave me and am totally in love with my new lipstick, I even purchased the plum lip liner to make it pop! Next Up… Get an outfit together and go out!
It’s not a secret that purple is my favorite color so whatever I can get away with in purple, I’m going to try it! Last night I attended the Carolina Style Holiday Party and had panicked a bit because I didn’t know what to wear. I started to make plans to go shopping but, then I went into my closet a grabbed a few items I had yet to wear and put my outfit together. It definitely includes purple. I wore a tan blazer from Barami, Purple button up shirt, Gap skinny jeans (dark blue), tan open toed shoes from Qupid and My Ivory multi colored Coach signature Maggie. I was pleased with this outfit because I had partially put it together a while ago but, then got sick and didn’t wear it and it’s been hanging in the closet waiting to make a debut. It was almost forgotten about. I know I’m not the only one that goes shopping and loses or forgets about things in her closet.
I got ready, did my makeup and used my new M.A.C “Up The Amp†lipstick and Plum lip liner which complimented my outfit color scheme. I had a great time with friends, did some networking and was complimented on my lipstick and outfit. Yeah… My lipstick was poppin’! That’s huge when your in a room full of fashion gurus, models, boutique owners, photographers and Fashion journalists. I’ll be covering a bit more Fashion in the New Year. How do you think I did?
