One thing I can honesty share from my personal experience of being an entrepreneur is that you need identify your target market and it’s NOT your friends and family. I’m sure your friends and family want to show support and help you but, they are not your ideal customer. When you are providing a product or service, a rule of thumb is asking what problem are you solving? What need are you meeting? You are the answer to someone’s question. You’re filling a void!
As a consumer, I know what I want and will get it regardless of cost if there is a need for it. I’m very disciplined with my spending. I have a need vs. wants list and I tackle it by priority. So, it’s natural for me to wait on certain things and other purchases may be instant based on my needs. It’s also stated that people need to see something a few times before they decide to purchase. I’m going to gravitate towards a visually appealing ad with a call to action especially if I see it a few times.
We live in a very mobile driven society where everyone is on-the-go! We’re all using social media on our mobile devices and honestly that’s where I see a lot of ads. Many businesses are purchasing social media ad campaigns to reach their target audience and it’s working. You need to have an attractive ad with a call to action that will capture your potential customers information and then it’s up to you to foster that relationship and follow up.
I can’t tell you how many sponsored ads I see on Facebook & Instagram. That’s where I spend a lot of time but, I also really notice them there as well. I see some sponsored content on Twitter but, I’m more prone to click a link on Facebook or Instagram. These businesses and social networks are paying attention to what I look at in their feeds, searches and my interests. The ads are targeted directly at ME! It’s no different for you. These ads are tested repeatedly and the data reviewed to see what’s working.
How do you measure client success? First step is to have a good strategy in place and pay attention to the data that you collect. You may start out as one, but you’ll want to build a strong team where everyone has a role and responsibilities to focus on. A customer management software or customer success software will help you manage the data you collect and keep track of all interactions with clients whether positive or negative. You’ll need and use all this information.
Overall, you want to know who your target audience is and have a good client success rate. The client success guide will assist you in getting familiar with what customer success is. You’ll touch on strategy and metrics among other things. Don’t be afraid to look and see what your competitors are doing and what methods might be working for them. You’ll want to tailor your ads for your audience but, look at their strategy and see if it works for you.
