It’s such an easy process and there are no additional costs to your invitation. You have the option to choose an existing non-profit from 10,000+ choices or recommend one that isn’t already listed. This allows you to support causes that you care about and let your friends know how they can assist you in making that happen. You can do this in lieu of traditional gifts or an additional option for your event guests. It’s a great feature on the Evite website and will allow people that may not be able to attend to still support your cause.
Here’s how Evite Donations works: Select the FREE option to add a donation to any invitation. Choose your preferred non-profit or make a recommendation. Set a fundraising goal that you would like to meet. Promote your fundraiser and gain support from family and friends. Your guests can donate without ever leaving the Evite website and they don’t get charged to make a donation. You will receive notifications when your guests donate and support your cause. It’s just that easy! You have the option of sharing your invitation on social media allowing it to reach a larger audience. I’ve posted my invitations on Facebook and Twitter allowing me to reach people who I didn’t have a direct email address for.
