Disclosure: I’m on the 2017-2018 Chick-fil-A Moms Panel. We received promotional cards to experience the Family Style Meals. All opinions are 100% honest and completely my own. #ChickFilaMoms
I was excited to learn that Chick-fil-A was testing Family Style Meals in select areas and I just happened to be in one of them. Certain cities in North Carolina have the Family Style Meals at their locations. Burlington & Greensboro I know for sure are two cities that are in the test market for Family Style Meals. I absolutely LOVE Chick-fil-A and we live conveniently within five minutes of one. I live in Durham though so I had to take a quick road trip up the highway to get the Family Style Meals.
When we arrived at Chick-fil-A and I looked at the menu I was happy to learn that I had choices when it came to building our family style meal. I had the choice of 4 ct. Filets, 4 ct. Grilled Filets, 12 ct. Chick-n-Strips or 30 ct. Nuggets for our Entree. 8 Mini Rolls are included with the meal. We have a choice of two sharable sides like Mac & Cheese, Superfood Side, Fruit Salad and Garden Salad. There are definitely healthy options along with calorie information for each item. The meals feed 4 people and cost $29.99.
You can also switch out your sides if necessary. I had ordered a garden salad but, when it arrived and I saw it had carrots in it. I wasn’t able to eat it. I have food allergies and carrots are on the list of foods I can’t eat. I was able to switch it to an additional side of mac & cheese. I’m a fan of the mac & cheese and I’m critical of anyone’s mac & cheese. So, this is HUGE! It’s yummy and the kids raved about it as well. Mac & Cheese is a favorite in our home even though my youngest has a cheese allergy and can’t have any.
My Family Style Meal(s) consisted of 12 ct. Filets, 8 Mini Rolls, (2) Mac & Cheese for one and the other had 30 ct. Nuggets, 8 Mini Rolls, Fruit Salad and Mac & Cheese. I had a full house with my kiddos and their friends so Chick-fil-A seemed like the perfect mid-week dinner choice. It was very filling and we even went for seconds. I had THREE helpings of the Mac & Cheese, so that lets you know just how tasty it is. I honestly hope this does well in the test markets so it can be available at all locations!
The meal doesn’t include drinks so you can add individual drinks to your order or you have the option of Lemonade & Sweet Tea by the Gallon. You also get plates, utensils and table conversation starters. It’s the perfect dinner set up. Overall, my family is a HUGE fan of Chick-fil-A and we frequent our local restaurant a few times a week. The three cities currently testing the Chick-fil- A Family Meals are Greensboro, NC, Phoenix, AZ and San Antonio, TX.
I’m so lucky to be in the first group of select cities in the country to test out this meal kit. It will end on November 18th and I cross my fingers we’ll start seeing it on the menu everywhere!
