Things don’t always go as planned and the last 24 hours have truly shown me that. I had reserved tickets at CinéBistro – Waverly Place to go and see Star Wars: The Force Awakens on Friday afternoon with my main squeeze “The Husband”. We were all set for a fun afternoon date until we got an emergency phone call regarding one of the kids that knocked us right of off our schedule. I immediately called CinéBistro and spoke to someone at the concierge to let them know that I would’t be able to attend and asked if I could switch our tickets to another day, date and time. I was told to just come back when I could and speak to a Manager and she was sure they would be able to accommodate us. So my Friday was a BUST, but I was able to head back over to CinéBistro on Saturday in the afternoon to exchange my Star Wars: The Force Awakens tickets. I spoke with the Manager on duty. HUGE shout out and THANK YOU to Ryan for being understanding and going above and beyond to accommodate us during a BUSY, nearly SOLD OUT, Star Wars: The Force Awakens OPENING WEEKEND! We were able to score tickets to a 6:00 p.m. show for Saturday evening. My date changed because duty called for the hubby and he had to head off to work but, I had a cute seven year old stand in and we had a GREAT time!
The doors opened at 5:30 pm to start seating the theater. We ordered our beverages, snacks and food before the movie began. I ordered the Korean BBQ Wings, Side Caesar Salad and a Jedi Cocktail. Mini Me ordered a kids Popcorn Chicken with French Fries and a Coca-Cola. We also ordered a bowl of buttery popcorn. It wouldn’t be a movie night without popcorn! Our drinks popcorn and food were delivered before the main feature started. The wait staff checked on us a few times to make sure everything was okay. We were watching the previews and I was so excited to see that Independence Day Resurgence is slated to release in June of 2016. I also got excited about Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice and can hardly wait until March 2016. Once the main feature started we were able to recline our seats and relax. I personally had to sit up until I finished eating. However my mini was all about the reclined seat life and ate his food while watching the main feature while reclined. He kept asking me if I was comfortable and urging me to recline my seat. I think the seating was a big hit for him because he couldn’t get enough of it. I giggled and told him I would join him when I finished eating. Midway through the movie, Mini Me had to use the restroom and as we were exiting our seats when he accidentally knocked over my Jedi Cocktail. I reported our spill to a sweet theater hostess with the mostess and she replaced my drink. I was so appreciative. My CinéBistro Customer Experience has been nothing short of EXCELLENT!
Now, I promise no spoilers for anyone who has yet to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Just know that it’s an awesome action packed movie. See it in Real 3D if possible. It’s NOT necessary to binge watch the Star Wars Trilogy or Prequel Trilogy to know what’s going on. I had planned to watch Star Wars Episodes 1-6 before attending The Force Awakens but, the way my schedule is set up… It didn’t happen! I didn’t enjoy the movie any less. I was able to follow along with no issues and even had some surprises. Three specific scenes brought tears to my eyes and I even laughed a few times when I wasn’t in awe over the 3D effects. In fact I can’t wait for Episode 8! You’ll know what I mean once you see the ending. I’m expecting two more episodes at least. My seven year old already asked if we could see it again, so you already know he gave it FIVE starts and loves it. As a matter of fact we are going to binge watch ALL the Star Wars Episodes since we’re on holiday break and have lots of time to relax and enjoy them. I can’t wait until Christmas Day so that my family can enjoy a wonderful holiday dinner with lots of movies and games throughout the day. I couldn’t resist getting the Star Wars Disney Infinity 3.0 and can’t wait to play it. So, I hope you get a chance to go out and enjoy Star Wars: The Force Awakens. It was great and even better because of CinéBistro, they have definitely proven to be movies with taste!
I also want to thank CinéBistro – Waverly Place for the Star Wars: The Force Awakens Opening Weekend Appreciation jGift. I’ll definitely be back soon. Head over to the CinéBistro website for more information, theater locations and movie listings.
