The last twenty four hours have been very exciting for me! I left North Carolina this morning at 6:00 a.m. to make my way to Las Vegas for #CES2015 and I arrived safe and sound. There have been a lot of firsts for me today. So, I flew Southwest Airlines for the first time today and it was a good experience minus the turbulence towards the end of our flight. I also flew for the first time by myself today. I NEVER travel alone, I’m always with my hubby, friends or family! I feel like I grew up just a little bit today. I’m a big girl now. Lol! Once I landed in Las Vegas it was 8:00 a.m. Pacific Time and I couldn’t check-in to my hotel room until 1:00 p.m. so I was fortunate enough to meet up with some awesome Lenovo Employees after our flight and shuttle to the hotel. We decided to have breakfast at The Coffee Shop at Treasure Island and walk around to kill some time. My first scheduled engagement wasn’t until 6:00 p.m. so I couldn’t wait to get into my hotel room and rest up a bit. I went and hung out at Public House to kill a few hours and after I was able to check-in and took a much needed NAP! It’s always nice to rest up before an event.
We had a scheduled Welcome Dinner at Public House where I was able to connect in real life with other Lenovo Insiders that I’ve been speaking to online for the last nine months. It’s always great to re-connect with online influencers that I have met and meet others I’ve never met before. Dinner was delicious! I had a Cesar Salad, Shrimp Scampi Linguine, Chocolate Fudge Brownie and Red Velvet Cupcake. There was great conversation, fun brainstorming sessions and Lenovo Product Envy! I got to see the Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 Pro up close and personal on two different occasions today and I am in LOVE! I’m so getting one because I can totally see using the projector for family movie night at home. We were able to take a sneak peak of the Lenovo Showcase and I can’t wait for it to officially open tomorrow. I totally got excited over the Lenovo Twitter Social Live Stream! I happened to snap a picture of it when my tweet was being featured on the wall. Sweet! I will be sharing on social media heavily throughout the week using the #LenovoCES #CES2015 and #LenovoIn hashtags! Feel free to follow along and connect with me online.
Day one has been a relaxing day full of sight seeing, rest, and excitement! I am totally taken by the Venetian Hotel & Casino Ceilings! Every time I look up it’s just a beautiful sight. Treasure Island Hotel & Casino has a great entrance and lobby area. I took this amazing photo of “The Sirens of TI” Chopper in the Treasure Island and Casino Lobby. I had to immediately text a photo of it to my husband. It’s really cool looking! My night ended with the Lenovo Insiders taking a “Selfie” at The Venetian by AquaKnox Lenovo Showcase! I took a stroll back to my hotel and had a tourist moment where I took pictures of everything along the way! This is the first time that I have been to Las Vegas and stayed on “The Strip”! I was last in Las Vegas back in 2012 for the Blogalicious weekend annual conference and we stayed at the Red Rock Casino Resort Spa. I did get a chance to visit the strip one evening AND… had a ball but, most of my time was spent at the resort because EVERYTHING was there and you really didn’t need to leave for anything. This will be another great experience and I can’t wait to share it with you. Stay Tuned… #LenovoCES
