As I write this post I’m laughing because I’m nursing my son and I always find unique ways to type while nursing him. Its nap time of course! Sometimes typing with him can be a bit of a challenge but it gets done. I am a wife and mother first to four children (ages 13, 12, 10, and 23 mos.) that keep me on the go, go, go! I also work full time and to add to the equation I run a small graphic design business. I’m on the computer constantly. My full time job keeps me on the computer most of my workday, and so does my small business not to mention all the blogging and social networking I do. I’m a member of several social networking sites and I have a schedule that I try to stick with daily for roll calls, blog posts, Facebook, twitter etc.
I do own a HP Pavilion Entertainment Laptop with Windows Vista and I bring it everywhere. It’s my main computer that I use to do all my work. I didn’t see the point in purchasing a desktop because I’m always on the go. I have a leather laptop carrier case that is a bit on the bulky side that probably adds additional weight to it. I tote my laptop with me to work daily, on trips, and if I am out with the kids at a class or group activity I can use it while they’re at track practice, cheerleading, Girl Scouts Etc. No matter where I go with the accept ion of work, my toddler is usually with me. Usually I’m toting my child, a diaper bag, a laptop, and let’s not forget my pocket book. So, you see I think this HP Mini 110 would make my life so much simpler. I love the “you can throw it in the purse†bit! That would be a dream comes true for me, and I’d feel like less of a bag lady!
Reading the reviews that the Mom Bloggers Club provided, I can’t say I’m mad that they use eco-friendly packaging and that the LCD Screen is mercury free. I think we’re all trying to go green and be more conscious of how we live and the materials we use. We all have to start thinking about how everything effects our environment. I’m definitely trying to do my part to better the environment I live in. HP gets praises from me for doing their part! The HP Mini is also very cool to look at with its unique design. It’s slim, compact and has a very chic look to it. I love the color and the wallpaper shown is awesome, not to mention my favorite color. I’m sure they have a few wallpapers to choose from.
I also think it would be great to have a computer that I could use solely for designing my work and then do all my blog hopping, roll calling and social networking on a separate computer. I do back up all my work but, you can never be too careful and I’d rather leave my work at home. I also have many programs on my laptop that I can’t afford to lose god forbid I got a virus. *praying* I have a good antivirus and anti spyware installed but, I have been the victim of having to have my computer wiped clean and salvaging what I could. I never want to experience that again. It was horrible!
In closing I’d just like to reiterate that I feel this would make my life so much simpler because it would be a little less for me to tote around. I’m debating adding school to my equation; as if I didn’t have enough to deal with! It would definitely come in handy then. Trying to type and nurse at the same time can be challenging, I’m curious to see how having a HP Mini would change that any, if at all! I’m also curious to see the differences between Windows 7 & Windows Vista. It’s a bonus to be able to sync information from one computer to another and external hard drives. Last but, not least I’d love to be able to throw it in my purse. If I got anything out of what I read, that stuck with me the most. See, with me it’s the little things!
