Spring is definitely a beautiful time of year. The weather starts to get better and you can begin planning all your Spring festivities like Spring Break and the Easter Holiday. It’s a time of year that brings families together to catch up, relax, vacation and PARTY! I’m always ready to take a trip and plan destination activities with my family. We love to get away to the beach as soon as the weather breaks from Winter. I have to take everyone’s schedule into consideration and also create an Evite invitation so everyone will save-the-date. I consider really close friends extended family and they get invited to family gatherings for any occasion I host. Baby Showers, Birthday Parties, Graduations, The Old Fashioned Cookout Etc. This Spring Break and Easter holiday is like any other, I want my family to spend quality time together and I’d like to take a trip while we’re on break. While I’m indecisive… I’ve narrowed it down to either Wrightsville Beach and/or New Orleans Louisiana. We’ve never been to Louisiana and I’d love to visit and do what I LOVE to do. Go sightseeing and EAT!!!!! The beignets are calling my name. I think I’ve turned my children into true Foodies! I love to host parties and can’t wait to pull this one off. It’s even better that we have a Birthday to celebrate during this Easter Spring Break!
I’m a very traditional person and I tend to look at how things were when I was growing up and try to incorporate that into my family. As a child my family spent most holidays together. I remember being surrounded by all my aunts, uncles and cousins. My grandmother was the one who brought everyone together. We would be in the kitchen all day cooking and dinner would be ready by 6:00 pm. I loved those moments. I remember baking cakes and wanting to eat the batter because you know… that’s the best part! I remember feeling loved and being surrounded by the people I love. I want to be the matriarch of my family and the one who “tries” to hold everyone and everything together. That’s how I remember my grandmother! She was the glue! My children are in different stages of their lives. My oldest daughter is a freshman in college and lives on campus away from home, my two middle children are in High School. My oldest son will graduate high school in June, my youngest daughter will be promoted to the 11th grade and then my youngest son is in elementary school. He has a ways to go! Breaks and Holidays are always better together! I just want to be with the people I love! I also want my children to have positive memories that they can look back on like I do from my childhood.
