It’s no secret that I’m BUSY most of the time! I’m a FT Working mom of four. I try to blog consistently but, my work schedule sometimes gets the best of my efforts. I have a great online community via my Lifestyle blog and social media so I am fortunate enough to be able to participate in some really cool blogging and social media campaigns.
I’m a visual person, so even though I may have things recorded digitally I still need to see it on paper. I LOVE Post-It Notes! I stick them everywhere. They help me remember tasks that I need to complete and once I’m done they get trashed! Well, recently I fumbled on a social media campaign worth $100.00. I know… I know…! I was checking my campaigns that I have completed and seeing when payments were due to come in along with how much I’d be receiving for each campaign when I saw a BIG FAT $0.00 next to one of them that I knew I completed. OR… so I thought! The project request was to post via social media 8 times. I had a few campaigns going on at the same time and somehow thought I only needed to post 6 times for this particular campaign. Welp! Shame on me! I was WRONG! I didn’t complete the required amount of posts during the campaign and as a result I won’t get paid. So… How will I NOT let this happen again? I created a Blog Assignment & Social Media Assignment Worksheet.
These Blog Assignment & Social Media Worksheets will allow me to record the blog and social media campaign, due date, required posts to complete, payment offered, slot to check when completed, estimated payment date and balance to keep track of the money coming in on a monthly basis via blogging and social media campaigns. I’m usually on top of this sort of thing but, I wasn’t as organized when it came to tracking assignments and payments. I use my Paypal Account a lot to keep track of debits and credits for my blog business in addition to jotting things down on a Post-It or having a memo in my phone. I use my calendar a lot to schedule reminders when I need to post and I’m scheduling more posts now on Facebook. I like to live tweet my content but, when my schedule gets hectic I am all over hootesuite to schedule my tweets. This is a learning experience for me. I lost $100.00 I bet you it won’t happen again! There is a first and a last time for EVERYTHING! Has this ever happened to you?
Below you’ll find two FREE printable Blog Assignment & Social Media Worksheets to keep track of your blog and social media campaign assignments so you don’t have to fumble like I did. Tip: When printing the PDF, choose scale to fit so it doesn’t get cut off. Enjoy!
