Last week I had the chance to enjoy one of my favorite Caribbean restaurants TWICE… Bahama Breeze! On Thursday the visit was due to being at a business success conference at the Hilton North Raleigh conveniently located right next door where I decided to escape during lunch. The follow up visit on the weekend was planned with friends for a “Girls Day Out” after attending our local National Association for Professional Women Raleigh-Durham chapter meeting. If you don’t know anything about me, know this… I’m a foodie!
I absolutely love the atmosphere of Bahama Breeze! They have outdoor patio seating surrounded by palm trees, a fire pit and island tunes playing in the background. There are great happy hour specials and live music on the weekends. I want to try everything on the menu and I’m sure I will eventually! On Thursday my friend Tiffany ordered the Jamaican Chicken Wings and I had the Jerk Chicken Pasta, it was so yummy! All those flavors were delicious… I love coconut and when a recipe has coconut milk and I can taste it prominently it’s total bliss to my taste buds.
When I returned on Saturday I won’t deny I was on a mission. For starters I ordered a Pineapple-Coconut Martini, then my main course was the Calypso Shrimp Linguine and I had the Piña Colada Bread Pudding for dessert. I left FULL and everything was so good! If you see a pattern here, I have a love affair with pasta!
My friend Tiffany after treating it like a major life decision ordered a Bahama Mama with our help, Lol! Her main course was the Coconut Shrimp Platter and her dessert of choice was the Warm Chocolate Pineapple Upside Down Cake. I had the opportunity to score one of her coconut shrimp and it was delicious.
My other friend Tiffany started off with a Bahamian Sunset, had the Grilled Jerk Chicken as her main course and finished off with the Banana Nut Bread Supreme for dessert. There were so many sound effects at our table as we ate our food it was hysterical! I can’t wait to visit Bahama Breeze again, it was a fabulous experience!
