As a part of the North Carolina Central University “Eagle†Homecoming events Clear Scalp & Hair Therapy sponsored the Beauty That Starts Deeper Concert Series Featuring the R&B Songstress Elle Varner. A few friends and I attended the Beauty That Starts Deeper concert with the intent to have the #BestNightEver AND that we did! I walked in to the venue and was immediately blown away by the branding in the Durham Armory by Clear Hair Care. There was a backdrop in the lobby for event attendees to take pictures in front of as soon as you walk in. When you entered the main event area the Clear Hair Care logo was projected onto the floor at the entrance. In each corner there were intimate sitting areas set up with sofas, throw pillows, and candles just to name a few things. It was quite a popular escape when wanting to rest your feet from dancing all night!
The Clear Scalp & Hair Therapy models were circulating the room talking and having a good time with everyone. So many women were in attendance rocking fabulous hair. The music was on point as the DJ played popular cuts that kept the crowd on their feet and on the dance floor, shout out to the DJ! I got to wobble and anyone who knows me knows that the DJ got an A+ for that alone! Hostesses circulated the room serving a variety of delicious horderves and there was an open bar with some of the best mixologists in town, the drinks were perfect! My drink of choice for the evening was Vodka & Pineapple Juice. I got a chance to meet lots of great people, network and collect business cards as I ventured around the room when I wasn’t dancing. You know I make every event a networking opportunity. I was on twitter and instagram during the entire event tweeting photos and tidbits to my social media friends.
The anticipation was building up for Elle Varner to hit the stage and give us the #BestNightEver AND it was time… Elle Varner graced us with her presence and she was everything and more than I expected. I am a fan of the songstress loving all the singles that she has released from her debut studio album Perfectly Imperfect which is currently available in stores! Elle Varner and her band were AMAZING, she even played the guitar for us while performing and serenaded us acapella. Elle Varner is a great artist, her album is very diverse and she’s deep with her lyrics. Her lyrics take you places, and you can relate because you’ve been there in your life at one point or another. She’s definitely a beautiful soul and I look forward to hearing more music from her. By the end of the evening I was confident I had the #BestNightEver and definitely got my “REFILLâ€.
