I went to the About Last Night screening and it was hysterically awkward! First of all like with most screenings you have to leave your cell phones in the car or they will confiscate it from you during the movie. I guess if you have a dumb phone with no video camera you can gain access, but who doesn’t have a smart phone these days. I got to the theater about thirty minutes prior to screening time and I had what seemed to be the LONGEST time to pass before the previews and screening started. I was absolutely non-functional without my phone. I haven’t worn a watch in forever because I look at my phone constantly. I wasn’t able to track time due to not having my phone and the conversation was scarce. The funny thing was it wasn’t just me. I looked around and there were people asking other people what time it was because they too relied on their phone to keep time and didn’t wear a watch. I did mention maybe it’s good that phones be turned off during the movies because of the shooting that took place in FL, where the gentleman got shot and killed while texting during the previews. I still can’t get over that headline! My phone definitely keeps me in the loop and I’m super dependent upon it.
I couldn’t tweet, Instagram, jump on Facebook! I felt like I was going through social media withdrawal. Anyhow, we finally got past what seemed to be an eternity, zipped through the previews and About Last Night started. I won’t give away the movie. What I will say is that it was super funny and had a lot of special moments that made you feel warm and fuzzy inside. Kevin Heart and Regina Hall will keep you in stitches while Joy Bryant and Michael Ealy make you change emotions constantly as you follow their whirlwind romance on screen. Overall you get a real look at the realities of a relationship down to the bedroom. I totally enjoyed the movie! It’s one that you can go see with your girlfriends for a “Girls Night Out†or with your significant other for a “Date Nightâ€. About Last Night is a romantic comedy and will open in theaters on Valentine’s Day! Please take a look at the trailer and make sure you go see this movie! The entire cast does a great job and the storyline is very relatable. Did you know this was a remake? I have the urge to search for the 1986 version and compare notes! We’ll see…
I gave About Last Night 5 stars! This was my GoFobo review: This movie was quite entertaining but, had its touching moments! I laughed hysterically and enjoyed the romantic storyline. It’s a MUST SEE with your significant other or your girlfriends! It won’t be time wasted, you’ll truly enjoy it.
