I recently visited the NC Museum of Natural Sciences for the first time and had a GREAT experience. Fact: NC Museum of Natural Sciences is the largest natural history museum in the Southeastern United States. I didn’t expect to walk four floors of exhibits, BUT it was amazing. There are nine different exhibit halls to venture, my favorites were the prehistoric North Carolina Exhibit and the Anthropod Zoo which surprised me because I really don’t like bugs. There’s also a living conservatory that you can enjoy!
The museum is currently in the process of expanding and I can’t wait to see the completed project in 2012. It looks like it’s going to be beautiful. I’d definitely go and visit the museum if you are in the Raleigh area, it’s just one of those things you MUST do! I went without the kiddos and am currently planning another visit with them in tow. Here is some more information: NC Museum of Natural Sciences is located at 11 West Jones St. Raleigh, NC 27601 Hours of operation are Monday – Saturday from 9am-5pm and Sunday from 12-5pm For more information visit the NC Museum of Natural Sciences Website Take a look at some of my favorite pictures. * If you hover over them, you’ll see the names.
