I had the opportunity to attend the Lantern Festival in Fayetteville, NC at the Fayetteville Motor Speedway and had such a great time. When I arrived with my children we were greeted by volunteers who pointed us in the right direction and even gave mini me some candy!
We checked in and were given S’mores Kits. This was my first time attending a lantern festival and I really thought it was beautiful. Everyone was able to design their own lanterns before launching the in the air. I doodled a bit, wrote the Girl Scout Promise and added some positive thoughts & prayers!
I asked myself if it was safe to launch lanterns into the atmosphere and I was glad to learn that the lanterns are 100% biodegradable. It was a great experience. I also had funnel fries for the first time. Yum! Check out some of my favorite moments in pictures… #NotSoWordlessWednesday
This looked like a fun family event. NC is filled with wonderful things to do. I need to get out more!! Adding this on my list of things to do with my girls next year. Thanks for sharing your experience. Those funnel fries
